HQ Hydra
I know they are brand new, but I wanted to start a topic about the new hydras, anybody have any thoughts towards them? Do you think they will come out
with bigger sizes? (now they just have 3-3.5m)They seem like a good kite to start out on the water with the only prob is you cant board with them.

They do have bigger sizes of the hydra ... its called the neo 
I don't see why they would come out with bigger sizes of the hydra. Its design is to be a trainer. The advantage is you can train on the water and
practice body drags. Where other trainers are open cell foils and don't do so well with water re-launches. Trainers stay small because they are for
newbies.

you need to start your own thread, lek, and give some info about yourself: weight / winds / previous experience / what you want to do with your
kites... you'll get better advice that way.
BTW, even if you have stunt kite experience, you'll find the Blade a bad choice for a first kite.
the winds are good on the east coast of thailand for another couple months, but too much power for a guy on a big blade to learn with any safety.
you'll be best off learning with something smaller, then getting going on the bigger ones in the summer winds, you'll have good skills next winter
when the monsoon comes again.

Remember these are sized by span and not by area, so area is a bit less.
I've jut been told by HQ that the 350's should be Stateside at the end of next week. We have it on the site for pre-orders. Real popular with
schools.
We flew the prototype last September and had a blast with it.

Yes we have been having a lot of people interested in the Hydra 3 meter and 3.5 also. The 3.5 is harder to keep in stock because many people want to
use it for boats, etc.
Both kites are great and people really love them.
So easy to learn how to fly them on land and then transfer to the water for body dragging without using the harness. Really speeds up learning.
We just got a new batch in stock.
