9m FS Warrior

Hey, I just saw a guy post up a 9m warrior and a super oldschool mbs board with a metal frame.. he put up 400 for the package but didnt sound realy firm.

Anyone ever play with one of these kites? He mentioned it had kind of a wierd webbing system on the bar such that if you let go it would stay in the position you had it at and not depower.

From talking to him, it turns out he bought it way back when from Powerzone.

Kites: 14m Vegas, 15m SD3, 10m rebel, 4m radsail

Boards: GI mtn board, Flyradical 139, plydoor 154

sounds like a Speedair... warrior were sheetable, Mastair and Speedair had the funky webbing thing at the bar ...

I had Powerzone's custom 7m Warrior and it was nothing like the newer kites. I'd advise you to spend your money on a Peter Lynn if you're in the market for a 400 dollar kite.

My experience with the warrior was that it felt a lot like a fixed bridle since the canopy was never really designed for very much depower. that and it was a super flat kite which made it very grunty and scary in gusts

Any amount would be a waste of cash with the quiver you already have, according to your signature line. You already have the board, and the Pulse is a way better kite than either the speedair or mastair could have even hoped to have been.

Hey thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not looking for anymore kites personally... Have a friend that was looking to get into kiting but this really isnt looking like a good option. Im sorta thinking he'd be better off starting with something like a pulse2.

I'd say if its for a beginner don't mess with anything older then a pulse 1 when it comes to flysurfers.

I have a 10m Venom that's R2F that he could buy if he's interested. I bought it thinking I would like it more then the phantom but I'm finding I love the way the phantom flies now that I've had it out in good wind. I want to start saving for a 15m Phantom, Scorpion, or Synergy to add to the quiver.
