My only concern with something like that is that if the wind really kicks, and rolls the kite over, the kite might start dragging your buggy along...
Though, I suppose if your buggy is heavy enough, it wont be much of an issue...

I find that in moderate winds, the bug is easily pulled- even sideways. These days I prefer the kite-stake-in-the-front-fork approach.

I remember that beast being heavy, but I didnt realize it was THAT heavy. Geeze man. Arent you working on a lighter one?
For kite-stakes anything that goes at least 6 inches into the ground would probably work. HQ kite-stakes are only about 10 bucks. Not a huge
investment. But you can probably just grab something and slam it into the ground and it will hold your stuff down...

this time of year i use, them Corkscrew dog tie out bar things? that make sense? lol it's metal rod corkscrew shaped to tie out your dog. saves time
on looking for a rock to hammer down my HQ stake into frozen ground

Drill out a practice lacrosse ball, then hammer through the biggest nail at Home Depot. About two bucks total.

or get the big orange plastic ones at home depot, i forget where they keep them, but about 14" long with a nice point and 2" wide at the top, need a
good solid hammer to get them in but they won't come out and are impossible to lose... weigh almost a pound and cost idk $5?
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

another option is to flip your buggy upside down and hook your brakes on the foot peg. Works in a jam. You can purchase a kite stake from most any
kite shop. We have a couple:

Or you can just use a big rain gutter nail from Home Depot, cost is about .50 cents each.
