nice dude! I just got my 15m phanny in the mail on friday. so far there hasn't been any wind yet this weekend so I spent a little time today making
some extra spars for it and admiring the kite.
I'm glad to hear you like the 15m Phantom, I love my 12m even though I've only been out on it twice so far. I can't wait to try the 15m.
just out of curiosity, how much wind were you out in and how long of lines are you flying?

Love that infectious enthusiasm. several Phannys at NABX pulling heavy buggies at 50 + mph routinely. Bring it to Amelia and I will have a Syn 15m.

I think the phantom so far is my favorite arc! I need some wind so I can try the 15m to confirm that!
granted the only other arc I've tried so far was a 10m synergy

glad you like the kite mate. i learnt sooooooooo much on that kite. its so stable, it gives you the confidance to try anything under it. just wait
until you get it out in 20+mph winds. the height and float are excllant. i got my first 720 on that kite and in the same session got the 1080.
the phanny has risen from the grave. a kite is just a piece of material unless its being flown!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're making me wince with all this lift Phreerider. I hope it is as easy to keep the lift controlled as the synergy and montana are. I'm so
anxious to get it here. Q-powerline custom set from Coastal Wind Sports already in hand for it.

Was out today on the beach landboarding in some light wind (6-11) with a 15m Synergy. Kinda wish I had taken out the P15. Phantom's are very good
for land stuff, really don't care for them on the water though.
Really looking forward to nabx, hope we get some big wind for the smaller phantoms. I'll never forget the first time JD took a spin with the 9m at El
Mirage dry lake; he came back expressing his amazement with how confident the kite feels and then asked for his gps for a speed run.
I was flying fixed bridled foils before phantoms, and the buggy wasn't really doing it for me. I had been doing it for a long time, and the comfort
level of handles combined with the threat of kite collapse and the re-inflate in the center of the window was always on my mind. This kept me flying
kites that were sized for the gusts, not the average desert wind speed. Arcs changed all that. Now I size for the average wind, because the gusts
don't worry me.

I'm sure it will be fine. I'm encouraged that after months of watching and learning, that the phantom has come to the surface as a much enjoyed kite
for land activities and the buggy in particular.

I found some old aluminum tent poles and discovered that two sections are EXACTLY 132cm which is EXACTLY the lenght required for a 19m Venom spar.
Karma. Poles are lightweight and rigid.
So, kite went out to the new sod farm (more on this at a later date). Wind gauge showed 8 to 9 with regular increases to 12mph. With some trepidation
(this thing is REALLY big) I put up the V during a low wind moment and took it to the zenith. Immediately the wind picked up to 14.5mph and lo and
behold, I was just standing there, hands off the bar, de-powered, without the harness being pulled up around my armpits. Simply amazing!
Did some static flying to feel it out and again, amazed at the turning speed and ease of handling for such a large sail. Hopped on the board with the
kite overhead, Flew it back and forth a few times fully depowered without moving. The kite never even attempted to pull me off the board. I pulled the
power strap out halfway, dropped the kite from 12 to 3 o'clock, pulled on the bar and began to role. The effect was like smoothly stepping on the
accelerator of a vehicle. No jerk, no snatch, simply smooth acceleration. Speed was perfectly controllable by pulling in or pushing out on the bar. To
stop, push the bar full away, pull in depower strap, and let go. Kite STOPS PULLING and floats to the zenith. Absolutly perfect from 7mph to 14mph!
Many thanks to Geokite for the sail and Stephdip for the bar and lines. You guys have made me very, very, happy.

Man...it was all I could do to keep the V2 13 in the bag yesterday. I was pushed for time and didn't feel like experimenting so the Pulses got the

You bugger! Flying without us newbs huh?! hehehe I thought you said you had to work?
Alberta boys - look what we missed (from ArcUsers forum):
"Lots of fresh powder snow today so riding a little smoother and able to grab
enough edge to get some nice jumps in. In the 25 mph winds (top edge wind
speed)a simple pop on the bar and up you went and the float was the nicest I've
experienced but the lift can be very quick."
C'mon! You're supposed to be transferring those skills down to us!

progress note with the P15
same day on ATB: having a real TOESIDE MOMENT
transition air to TOESIDE followed by scorching down loop turns (both ways)
TOESIDE powerslides
transition air from TOESIDE to TOESIDE
transition air from TOESIDE to heelside
transition air backside 360 (backroll) last of the day finally got one super smoothed out one of those closed eye moments where Vuck it ...and you go
wow that was effrotless
any way this is about 21/2- 3hours and 200 trans with side shore wind
it has taken about 2 days for my abs, knees and ankles to feel normal.
phantom progress it's a beautiful thing

That phantom is going to get her feelings hurt if you don't get her on your sig! How much throw does your bar have for the phantom? Any tuning tips
to enhance performance in my typical low winds? Put on your non-lift no safety belt in the buggy hat for me.

around 20 inches dead slack at the top which is fine up to about 20mph and stall at the bottom. i have run this knowing i could use more back line
tension for heavy winds. i think 15-18inches is normal
end knot on the front leaders gives fullest range, up closer to the kite will blunt it a little. internal strap let it out a little(1/2") at a time
for light winds but half gets the most i feel. when the internal strap is let out it softens the feel. go with what you got see how it feels.
lift is a function of the speed of the kite going to the zenith, you control that and you have the bar to sheet out

How do you temporarily land your ARCs PHree? I know you fly alone which I do as well. Is one option to land it LE down and stake the bar with it
powered up? Or do you pull the release each time?
