Shopping for NABX in Las Vegas

Hey Gang
Can someone local to the area remind me of the best place to get off Interstate 15 for shopping. I remember getting off of the highway on the way out of 'Vegas and finding a Target for things like foam cooler, ice, water, beer, snacks- all the essential stuff.

Was that Exit 38, Flamingo Rd.??

Any tips in this department are appreciated.

Note to first-timers: There are no coolers to be had in Primm except for cardboard throw-aways good for a day or so. There is NOTHING there besides the Hotels, gas, the fashion mall and the little convenience store good for minor refills of ice, some (more expensive) junk food, sodas, beer, etc.

Shop before you get there- it's 30-45 minutes back to "real" stores.

LOL, Las Vegas is very civilized in its own bizzare way, and Primm is lovely- just barren.

Got some great news for all of ya, there is a brand new shopping center located west of I-15 on Blue Diamond Road.

Blue Diamond Road is south of Russell Road (and the airport) on your way to Primm. The Shopping complex is appx. 1/2 mile west of I-15 past the Silverton Hotel Casino. Bass pro shops is also located in the Silverton and they have some major camping gear. The shopping complex houses all major retailers including a super Target fast food outlets (In & Out Burger) and various other stores.

Remember to get sun screen and water!

Hopefully that will help a lot of you on supplies heading to NABX.

Thanks Kent! That appears to be Exit 33, which puts it 32 miles from Primm and it's down hill from there!

Could we have some idea about what the lunches will consist of? More info would help the campers know what they will need to bring for the week.

Thanks

Hey gang, my dad died saturday, so i'm going to have trouble keeping up here for a bit, but if you'll give me a few days to lay him to rest and be wtih my family, i will be right back with you.

The food thing will be close to as always, so please don't be shy.

Our new Chef is name is Carlton, and he has the Dave Kennedy seal of approval!

He and Scooter have been back and forth, but he will need your help to get acclimated.

Why are we bringing him? Because he's a fantastic Chef, and he DOESN'T buggy!

I'm tired of taking buggy time away from anyone that works so hard to be there. This for sure does not mean we do not need help in the kitchen. We are a family oriented group of folks who do this not for profit, but for fun and the camaraderie, and as such, will always seek to keep the participation factor high! So if you'd like to help, please introduce yourself, and see what you can do.

Those of you who will be at the pre event will of course get to meet our new cook first, and we plan on eating well there.

Susan, for lunch i can't tell you yet, but i know it will be better than what we've had to choose from before!

Lunch will be served Weds thru Saturday!~

aoxomoxoa folks!
