hey i really want to get into powerkiting and am going to just buy a kite, at first i will just be flying it and jumping etc. but later on i would like to be able to use the same kite for kite ATBing. I am only 14 and weigh about 8 stone so what size should i get. Also there is a kite in my local TKMax for only £30. Its a 3m by 1m loncraine broxton powerkite. Would that be good for my needs bearing in mind i only want a very cheap kite just to see if i like the sport. If not then what size and make should i get. I have about £80 maximum to spend but would much rather only spend £30 on this loncraine broxton. Will i be able to jump with that one and get air my area isnt very windy (im kinda near london).

P.S. I whatever i buy i want it to have everything with it that i need to fly so i can set it up and go straight away. Has the Loncraine Broxton got everything i need, does it have a harness, do i need a harness?

3 meters is a great learning size. However, I know nothing about the kite you have mentioned. I have a dual line 3 meter and it is what got me started. I soon wanted a quad line. I still fly the 3 meter dual line occasionally, but not very much. Also, despite your weight being about half that of mine, the smaller kites aren't the best kites to use for jumping. Anyway, if you can find a cheaper quad line kite (look at the Beamer and the PKD buster) that might be a better way to begin. They are a little more difficult to get used to than a dual line, but in the end you'll be happier. I would probably start in the 2 meter category. That is a good size to learn and be pulled on a board, but not the greatest for jumping. You do not need a harness for boarding and should not use one unless you're already proficient with the kite. At the price you mentioned I have a hard time imagining that it comes with a harness. I was able to get my harness wholesale and it cost about as much as the kite your telling us about.
