Shortening Lines

I'm heading to Jekyll for some kitesurfing this weekend. Saturday's wind calls for NE 18 to 32 and I'm thinking about shortening the lines on one of my Pulse 2s. Is there anything I need to know about doing this that is not in the manual? Anyone?

that wind should be perfect range for the 8m... don't think you'll need to shorten anything....

but if you do:

start with removing the 3m segment... and DONT LOSE the ELC pieces !

if your pulse has FDS, remember you need to remove that 3m segment as well..

a good idea is to remove the 3m pieces, then when you re-install them, put em near the bar instead of near the ELCs. this way, you wear out the shortest segment and its easier / cheaper to replace.

Ah...I knew PZ'd have the scoop! I guess 21 mtr lines are a little shorter anyway. I'm psyched. Should be able to send you the kites for modification when I get back. Thanks for the info!
