Ok here is the deal- I love my buggy but I have to have tide, wind and days off all work together- not good

Static is getting kind of routine so its time for something new-

I want to try get into ATB but here are the issues I found. I am 6'6" and 200 lbs with a size 14 shoe- Most boards are too narrow and I can not get a good stance on them.

While checking them out a Sector 9 "luke" longboard caught my attention- 55" long and 11' wide. Basically a 1978 cadillac!!

I would buy the deck with 10 inch trucks-question- would I be able to put knobby tires on it without wheelbite? Anotherwards would the trucks be wide enough to get the wheel outside the width of the board? Another thought is to put risers on but I do not want a high center of gravity. Or dremel out the side of the board-last option!

Does anyone here have a longboard and could you offer advise on if this hairbrained idea will fly?

I think cruisin on a 4 and a half foot board will be pretty cool if it works!

I have an Earthboard, 9" wide 10" trucks, mounted at the very end of the board where it is rounded. I think you'll have to position the trucks right at the end and do some cutting. I'm also a 14, which means I have to keep my feet off the wheels. I've been riding (see avatar) with a w/s rig for years and now some with kite, and have not used straps yet, but I love gentle cruising and moving my feet around.

How long is your board? Wow! Someone else with big feet and a longboard!! So I guess it will work!

I saw some 15" trucks for $29 each. Add a $79 "luke" deck and about $80 for wheels, rims and that should get me going. If I use 15" trucks that will put the wheels outside of the deck-if I use 10" that will mean cutting or a bunch or risers.

Where can I get parts for less anyone??

hi beachrights ! i didnt need to do that much modifying to the board ! just had to cut the engine and engine mountings off ! and remove the disc brake ! the trucks are 19" long from outside wheel to outside wheel ! the front truck is positioned at the very front of the deck where it curves in and the deck has cutouts to allow space for turning ! and the rear truck is positioned behind the deck so plenty of room there ! the 4" wide tyres were on it originally ! the deck is 11" wide ! here are a couple of pics ! ile get you some better detailed pics uploaded soon !

well that thing looks scary! Serious tires and it must cruise over anything! Thanks for the pictures- gave more ideas to incorporate.
