Slingshot SST 6'2", Surfable?

Ok, a few of you inspired(?) me to come up with this question.

Can I use this board for surfing?

It's Slingshot SST 6'2" originally designed for kitesurfing.

I am thinking maybe I can use this board for surfing during those windless days and also use it as my light wind board for kiting.

I weigh 160lb and live in East cost where waves are not that big. I learn things fast though :)

Reason behind this particular board is:

1. it's last year model = less expensive
2. it fits in my car (I think)
3. it looks so cool

sure can, take the straps off and you're golden.......with foot pads you wont need wax................
its basically a classic thruster design...................good for hollow/step wave faces i.e. fast down the line and turns well off the bottom and top.....................you will need waist high or higher sets to get cranking...................................
