I wonder what it cost them to license that Radiohead song. In fact I wonder what the budget for a 9 minute video is? Helicopters, fancy cameras, plane tickets, etc.

Good video and great riding, but honestly I was a little let down just because it seemed like they just followed the Invent and Revolve formats and didn't bring anything new in to this one. Still a sick video though and it is FREE after all.

I have to say I showed my wife that video and it was the first one that she was interested in. Its a great interpretation of the sport and brought something new in the form of cinematics...

One thing that I noticed in the video is that the water is very calm. Which would lead me to believe that the winds are fairly light. The kite model only goes up to 13m so how can he fly in such light winds so well? Where I will be kitesurfing the average wind (if there is any) will be around 8-10 mph. I want to be able to cruise in that without any problem. What size kite should I be looking at?

Btw I'm about 165lbs.

The water looks calm because it's so shallow. The deeper the water, the bigger the chop/waves when it's windy.

If you want the flattest water possible in high winds, the ideal situation is offshore winds in a shallow water with with no swell. Right up against the shoreline, the water is like glass and it feels awesome.

If there's any Texas kiters reading, the Ski Basin in Rockport provides these types of conditions on east or southeast winds.

I am not you are correct on this statement. Lake Erie and Lake Winnipeg are both fairly shallow and whip up big waves fairly consistantly.

By shallow, I meant around 2 or 3 feet deep.
