Last night there was a really steady NW 13mph... finally got to fly the blaze for real. there was also another guy out in manzanita working on his
180s with a 4.5m ozone.
Today its pouring hard. Guess this is what 100% chance of rain looks like
I'll be around Sunday, and am hoping to get out and fly but the forcast doesn't look muc better If the winds change today we might get some of the sunny weather that's expected for Monday.
... but if the weather's good I'm up for it!

It was crazy windy last night, gusting over 50 sustained over 40 wwwweeeee...
This morning so far... Lull 22.0 Ave 34.0 Gust 45.0 WNW :wow: and Hail
NOAA:
Today: Showers likely, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Hi of 50. -0.43 tide at 10:16!
so that would be nice
http://www.atmos.washington.edu/~ovens/loops/wxloop.cgi?mm5d...
rain might push out after noon...
http://www.ikitesurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=122&r...
It's probably going to stay pretty windy... kitesurf is showing that the _high_ winds might move south after noon and it will blow NW in the 20's. Of
course their morning forecast said 13
I can post an update i na few hours... but if there is a sweet spot it's probably going to happen in the afternoon.

hmmmm..... still deciding if it is worth the drive today. I know that the tides aren't the greatest today (high tide around 3:45) either, so I am on
the fence right now.
I'll check in again around 10 of so and see how it's looking and try to make a decision.

I'm going to head down to the beach for 15 minutes and check out the incoming sky and wind... Hasn't rained for an hour and there was some blue sky
out here and there. If the wiind calms down a little This actually might be a good day to ride to the nehalem bay jetty (5mi).
Wind report looks wonkey, the 9 is probably just an outlier

my measure right now (still on beach) is ave 15 gust 19 and these weird lulls to 9/11. it's also 43deg and cloudy tho the sun did poke out and there
is some blue on the horizon. if you like 15-25 looks like it might just turn out to be a good but slightly cold day. I think I might just stay in
manzanita as if the wind pushes 20 i like to take it easy and its a bit cold for the kids with the wind. this way they can go to the house 3f anyone wants to come hefe might just be a great day to go to the jetty. there
also a blokart and kite out already u2u for cell #
(sun just poked out!)

Think I'm with arch on this one. Conditions to weird for me. Besides I don't think it would be a good call
on my part to ride after working all night. Grr! and my next weekend off isn't till April 24th.
I may try to get up there tomorrow if the weather holds. Winds look to be better to.

Was not able to upload this from my phone for some reason... the little blip in the middle is the blokart. The beach is huge right now due to the
tide, the water starts where the waves are (a good 100m), but it's a bit wet from all the rain and hail last night / this morning .

Turned out to be a pretty nice day. The wind was a bit wild, aka insane, until about 2pm when it calmed down to about NW 15/18/23 then taper off to
about 11 due west by 4. So a few hours of wind, and the sun was out. there was one other buggy and an ATB out in Manzanita. A shocker to me it
cleared up and held. Tomorrow looks like it should be pretty good as well. Hopefully next weekend will turn out nice to make up for those of us not
at nabx :dunno:
