Well everyone, we have a new creation to share.

This is the latest version of the Ivanpah buggy that had its first showing at NABX just a couple days ago. As you can see, this version sports an all new 4130 Chrome Molly and cold roll steel frame!!! Nearly identical to the original Stainless Steel Ivanpah buggy that made its first showing at NABX '08.

With the tubular steel chassis, the Ivanpah can now be custom colored to the owners wishes with a rock-hard zinc based - powder coated frame. The picture below features Fire Engine Red but nearly any color is now possible!!!

This buggy still sports all of the strengths and awesome features of the original with .120 wall tubing throughout, high frame rails, durable bucket style seat, rail pads & bag from Buggy Bags, 3/8" thick plate steel for the front forks and mounting plates, adjustable roll bar, adjustable foot pegs and rear axle clamps that allow you to offset your rear axle for maximum speeds.

All of this with a huge cost savings over the hand polished stainless steel version.

We ran into a small snag on the final assembly when we forgot to take into account the thickness of the powdercoat. When we took it out for its first run the downtube was way to tight and although it was useable, it had quite an annoying squeak. Our machinist quickly turned out another front bushing and the squeeky tightness turned into pure silk (like it should have been) and we were able to put the buggy through some more serious runs.

Best run I got up to was 68 with the new Yakuza GT. Unfortunately we missed out on the best winds of Thursday but we got some great runs in after all and there were a bunch of people who got turns in the new buggy.

We'll have the buggy here for anyone who wants to take a spin in it.

Just how wide is that back axle?! From the pictures I'd say at least 3 feet!

lol - the rear axle is slightly over 5 foot. With standard smoothie tires the overall length is 5' 10".

Similar buggy to my Cheetah low slung on barrows and its red lol, what is the weight of yours Kent, I guess mine now is about 86lb with these rims

It is 5'7" or 1700mm rear wheel centres and 6'3" or 1900mm front to rear wheel centres, ( add another 20" for the overall length) it would be good for your play ground, especially with the leading link on the front end.

We weren't sure we were going to have the buggy ready by NABX so we didn't discuss it much openly. It all came together at the last minute so we jumped on it (and put in some very long 18+ hour days the week prior) and finished them up.

Weight on the latest bug is estimated at 80lb full dress. We haven't had time to put it on the scales and get an official weight but hope to do that this weekend (and get some more runs on it).

The new bug keeps most of the same dimensions as the stainless version with only minor changes in the down tube (as you probably already noticed) and slight altering of the frame rail height and where the rail comes in contact with the down tube.

The nice thing is that because of the material change and the powder coating we are able to offer this version at a HUGE savings over the labor intensive stainless steel one. We have 4 more buggies in stock right now that are just waiting on the color choice of a new owner. Two have already been sold.

Thats a very good price Kent, you should have them snapping them up at that price, The Original Dominator is still waiting to be shipped to New York, I guess you guys may see it at the next NABX, with maybe some narrow motor bike wheels on, it will take some beating with a guy like Arjen in it...

I gotta say that the front fork you have on that new bug is just awesome. I bet that took some time to get just right. I am still in awe on the rear setup. Pure ingenious. It's just a shame that our two playgrounds are so far apart from each other. It would be wonderful to be able to ride with you with our bugs side by side. If the original Dominator doesn't get in the states by NABX'10 then you may just have to personally bring it over!!!
