which kite is better?
which kite is better for landboard jumping really high? Phantom 12 or 15? I am 165 pounds and I usually use my scorpion but I think I might get a
phantom.

Your question really depends on the rider, timing and current wind conditions. I would tend to think that you would get better height and float with
your Scorpion over the Phantom as the Scorpion is a much newer design with a lot of improvements.

yeah, but my scorpion is a 16m. I guess I should have asked if the 12m phantom jumps higher since it turns faster. The scorpion is such a lightwind
kite, I need something for those 25+ days

Huh? :puzzled: Are you suggesting the Scorp does not have as much de-power or wind range?:shocked2:
...but 25+ is a lot for any of those sizes. 6m arcs did well at NABX in such winds.

thats exactly what i mean, i need something for stronger wind days and i had heard that phantoms are stronger wind kites even for the slightly larger
size. I love my scorp, but i have a chance to get a 12m or 15m phantom and i'm just trying to figure out which one would be more appropriate. Just
yesterday i was getting halfway decent 10ft jumps with my scorpion in 14 mph wind. I can fly my scorpion up to about 22mph but sometimes i'll get
lofted 15ft in the air without trying.

Seeing as you already have the 16m Scorp, the 15m Phantom is not going to give you that much of a different wind range. I would suggest the 12m or
smaller. The 12 will fit in just perfect for when your Scorp is to powerful. If you can hold your Scorp down to around 22mph, the 12 will probably
get you up to around 28 for the same feeling.
If your winds are generally stronger than that then you may want to go a bit smaller.

a 15/16m kite is the ideal size for landboarding unless you want to kiteloop. if you can hold down the power upto 22mph then id say go 12 phanny and
9 phanyy for those insane days.
my personal choice is 15m synergy 10-25mph 13m scorp 26-30 10m venom 31- blown off the beach.
alot also depends on where you fly - inland gusty or beach clean.

I am definatly inland with lots of hills and structures, so i generally fly in winds that would be considered over powered if it were on a beach.
I've flown my 13m guerilla in 36 mph winds before and was able to move upwind. The wind here in the midwest is so dirty. i can't imagine what clean
winds feel like.
