I have a 4lined 3mtr beamer. Im new to this and was wondering how to launch the kite again once its upside down and tangled.. if this is possible? Also I thought the kite would be big enough to lift me up in the air, I weigh 10st and im 5,6 tall.. do I have to have the kite in a certain position?… what’s the strongest winds I can go out in with out being hurt? And ive watched people on u-tube getting lifted up then dumped on the ground why is this? Thank you

It is possible to launch the kite once it is crashed leading edge down. There are different ways to do it but I typically put tension on both brake lines, the kite "backs up" ease the tension off one of the lines and it will turn and off you go. It takes some practice to do it smoothly, but you figure it out quickly enough. When I first started I would practice reverse launches until it became easy...

Kite jumping on a 3 mtr kite is typically discouraged. In high winds it will lift you up but it puts you down just a quickly with bone crunching fun. Most jumpers use larger kites, usually 5m + for jumping because the larger kites have more "float" and thus softer landings.

You have a great kite for figuring everything out. Doesn't your beamer have a manual + DVD? Go to HQ online for info on your specific kite if not.

Good news is that this is exactly the kite you need in your bag . Now and always. A perfect 1st investment!

Bad news is it ISN'T a jumping kite.

You are now facing the 1st real downer about kiting. NO kite does it all.

What you have is the perfect kite to go through the motions and feel the raw power. Where it turns on and off. When it might lift you and not. It is a nice friendly kite without too much lift so you can fly it in ever increasing winds and try / fly out all the complicated moves without too much consiquence.

RELAX and get the most you can out of that kite. Learn to fly it by feel only. VERY IMPORTANT . Keep looking around online about how to fly and jump proper. Use the search engine on this site. In short order you will be ready for a bigger kite that will give you those jumps you want. You will be a lot more educated about what you want as a " next kite " and make another good choice ! Don't rush buying that second kite and get a good quality one. Just like you have done with the Beamer !

Blade is right--take your time and learn to fly correctly and the jumping will come in time.....if you weigh 140,id say take the beamer out in about 7-10 mph winds at first,then if you are ok with that,you can push the envelope a little at a time--wear your safety gear!!! i started out about 9months ago,and ive flown nearly every single day since then--im getting some really nice jumps from my blade 6.6 and getting dragged all over the place---its the most fun i've ever had!! what an addiction!! you've got alot of great times ahead of you--IF you take it slow and remain safe --good luck to you
:singing: ps.the main reason you see these people on u tube getting dumped on their heads is because they dont respect 1. THE KITE 2.THE POWER OF THE WIND

beamer's are not the ideal jumping kite- on the jumping front , redirect for a soft landing...if ya wanna get into jumping, on a fixed bridle , blade or savage...the harder you redirect , determines how soft the landing is
