I also prefer Quadrifoil for land traction, but I'm afraid that Qkites are now a thing of the past.

KS4U (the manufacturer) is now completely out of business. It may be possible that AP Euro will continue to sell them to interested retailers, but the fact is that their shelves are nearly bare and there are no more kites on order. AP's efforts are invested in their toy line and have no time for kites. Besides, there is nothing in blue, I'm sure of it.

Looks like we will soon have to start flying JoJos or something.

How do you think surf kites would work for the type of tricks you do? Seems the steady lifting would be an asset.

Sorry for the bad news.

H2o foils vs RIFs

one thing about the H2o foils is that you got to have a pump and if you crash you got to fix, now you got to to carry a butt load full stuff just to take care of that stuff
not to mention what a pain it is to land and to take off, not counting the time it takes to to get it this all togather, now + this up $$$$$ and some change.

Brian S. from superfly/ Ozone was going to sponser me,but I haven't heard anything back.I dig The OZONE line of kites w/ its depower system might be able to set up for more tricks w/o having to depower the buggy like I do now.
Just the same I'm going to do my best to take FREESTYLE to a hole new level w/ some ramps next year sbbb. It just going to cost me more to do it.
Look at all the other extreme sports out right now, snow boarding,sk8t boarding
N-line sk8s, BMX, FMX, you name it is formated around freestyle and look at all the sponsership behine each and every one.
And the spectators love it more than someone going fast and long what do they got to see other than dot on the playa.I bring it in your face, but I have only a few good years left in me.
CLICK-CLICK... I'm all out of bullits

I hear what you're saying about water kites. They require a lot of set up compared to foils. I have not tried Ozone kites yet, but I have a new set of Qkites (until I went to SBBB that is) and plan to hang on to them as long as possible. We'll see what new designs the future brings.

Ramps hmmm?! Can't wait to see that!

People sure get a kick outta that kind of stuff. You remember how everyone went nuts when Jeff tried to jump the red bull marker. It's exciting and fun.

Just don't break your neck like Peter tried to do!
