buggy

How much does a production buggy weigh? any homemade ones out there? what do they weigh? considering building one since I'm into ATC70's and have some spare parts laying around.. but it may be a bit too heavy.. these things are small and the only things I was thinking about using was the forks and tires and Fabbing everything else.. Just trying to stay true to my roots!

The one I built weighs in at about 90 lbs. Funny you mention atc70's- the wheels from one of those are one of my considerations for a big tire set up.

Yup rappy 50, full alum revo head, titan conversion, and a 450se in the repair bay (stupid knife edge landings.) Welcome to the forum by the way. Dakitez, screwyfits, and flexiblade are way cool guys (met them at NABX this year) and are pretty close to you I think. The whole Nor-Cal kiter crew seems really friendly. If you want to work on a home build, they are a good source of info. If you get a chance to hang out with them, I'm sure you would learn a lot that would help you with your design process. Also, if you want to see some amazing work, check out Popeye the Welder- the guy is one of the best fabricators I have ever seen.

My 50 has a few goodies also and the 450 is also an SE .. I've met Dino (through Ebay) then on the phone.. Great guy and very helpful.. This just fills the void on when me helis are grounded.. I have an old KO frame (like my avatar) that will be the donor for our Ghetto buggy...Let the good times roll! Strike that! That was Kawasaki...

I took my heli flyin' buddy out on Friday and he got his skinny a$$ drug around by my 1.7m sting. It was great. Now he's going to let me fly his EP t-trex 700 (14S-54v.) The kid is an amazing pilot- look out Szabo boys.:bouncing:

I'm speachless :) a hawk? Awesome! I actually have a better rig than Heli cam (Nerve Wracking!) .. the draw back is it doesn' do well in the wind since it only weighs 37oz ... I use an 8mp Canon a590is .. a $27 airplane kit with $500 of gear..Takes rear nice stills too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtbtDXAHiaE
