larger isn't always better. There are lighter kites in the 14m range you'd likely be impressed with. I remember a 30m Naish kite, didn't really have
30m power.

its probably not going to do what you want it to. If you want something for that SA2 is the only way to go and they are up there in price, but if you
have light winds alot they are worth it.

Having never flown the kite in question, or seen it in the air, it is really hard to judge how well it will perform in the winds you are describing. I
saw a 20m LEI that hardly flew in 10knts of wind, yet a 15m Flysurfer Speed 2 Silver Arrow was rocking. Sometimes the bigger kites are really made for
bigger people in higher winds.
I could be wrong though, again, hard to call on a kite I've never seen fly before...

15m phantom and 16m venom have given a decent ride in 10knts where the tube guys where just watching. may have even been lighter .
i remember one of them saying "what wind are you riding on"
light wind riding is hard work and making it look easy is even harder.
kite mastery and flat fast board(floaty directional is good choice too)
FS SA 19M would be needed @290lbs and fly with about 3sec ahead of yourself if not more.
AS a beginner for me this was just out of reach but over time and experience proved a nice reward.
