New Website to Announce
Hi everyone,
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce my website: http://www.extremepowerkites.com - I just launched it last week.
PKF: EDIT
About me: I'm 25 and fly a 10m HQ Apex which royally whooped me on a blustery day last week. I've had the kite for about 6 months and used it to snow
kite on the frozen lakes of the Adirondack Mountains all last winter. All I can say is that this sport is a blast and I can't get enough of it. Feel
free to email me at support@extremepowerkites.com. Posts, comments and replies are appreciated!

I'm originally from south of Buffalo, NY, but my folks just moved up to Paul Smiths, NY - which is 15 minutes or so outside of Saranac Lake or 30 min
outside of Lake Placid. Have you ever been up there? It's kind of hit or miss as far as a windy day goes, but it's some really nice country up there,
especially for hiking, camping, etc...
I see you're from Albany - where do you tend to fly your kite(s)?

There's a couple of parks around here with fields big enough to bug/board. Winter is on Sacandaga or Round Lake for local(ish) and tug hill or lake
champlain if you wanna travel., I really started getting serious about this late this winter so I didn't have much of a chance to get on the
snowboard, but I can't wait for things to freeze up this year. I'm also on the ME/NH/MA coast a lot and I'll be hitting up those beaches a few times
this summer.
I've been to Lake Placid a lot, I used to ride Whiteface all the time when I was in college, I went to Clarkson up in Potsdam. I love all things
adirondacks, amazing wilderness so close!
Best of luck with the new site, it's well put together and 'easy on the eyes' as they say, which in my opinion is a very important and often
overlooked part of web design....
Are you going to be selling other brands eventually? Nothing against HQ (I've got a few and I love 'em) just curious...

I've heard that Tug Hill is supposed to be pretty decent. I know that they get a ton of snow there. I think there was some sort of event there over
the winter, but I guess it was on some farmer's property - so I don't know where you can get at it when there's not an event.
Whiteface is a blast! I've been up there a few times. It seems like ticket prices have really started to climb though (kinda hurts the wallet).
One of my good buddies also went to Clarkson. Mechanical Engineering major; graduated in 2006. Nice college. Great location.
Yea, eventually I'd like to sell some other brands. HQ has a good program that makes it easier for the retailer to sell the whole line-up as compared
to some other brands.
I'm all set up to go with Ozone, and Liquid Force - its just too expensive at this point to stock them. As far as I can tell, not too many people
offer the entire Ozone line. Liquid Force sells their own products on their own website too, so that's added competition...but mostly its a money
thing. As I sell some more HQ Kites, I'll take that money and put it towards stocking other brands. Are there certain brands that you would like to
see more so than others? I'm completely open to suggestions. At this point I'm just trying to get the name out there so if you know of any other good
forums like this let me know.

Oh.. and I wanted to add. For those of us that are into skiing/snowboarding and all things extreme; check this out. Pretty sweet (especially if you're
into cars too). It's Ken Block with his Subaru rally car on a Mtn. with snowboarders. They just need to get some snow kiters flying over him and
they'd be all set! :tumble:
