sod farm..or hay field..friday

looks like we will have western winds for once...it would be a good for the fields here in DAvis...whos in?

I will be at the sod farm around 230 if its not ripped up yet I will stay there...either that or I hit the hay field...although my kidneys don't like the idea....but told them that since there is western wind I can cut a line through one of the dips......

I will be there! I am off tomorrow after a week in Aberdeen Scotland and then this week in Houston. In both places the wind was perfect and I was without my gear so I am itching. When I was in Aberdeen I went to Balmedie beach and took some video of the kitesurfing there.

I will try and make it. I will call one of you on my way up to find out where you are

I guess I better go out tonight and put the big foots on my buggy ;-)

AD - I will try and remember to bring a new seat I have here for a new PL buggy and we can see if it fits in yours. if it does it would be a nice cheap upgrade for you  That is if your interested?

I plan on being there although I don't know where the hay field is. I should be able to find it if somethin is flying.

Dakitez - Yes bring the seat along. I am interested. Thanks. The wind is blowing right now at 9:20. I will head over to the sod farm in about an hour since I have the day off. Give me a call and I will let you know the conditions

I just went to the sod farm. The winds were coming from the north so there was not much room to travel. If they change to the west later then there will be room. The fields to the East had the sprinklers deployed so there is no room to kite. I went over to the alfalfa farm and the ground is too soft to be buggying on. Is there another field? The winds are perfect today.

good winds and no place to go :(

The last look I had at the farm in Lodi it was freshly planted so un-runable .

Yup, Same story here. I was going to just pop in on everyone I was in fairfield and got off early. Went by the sod farm there isn't one. All tore up and sprinklers on as Ad72 said. and the other field was flooded.:flaming: It's typical, A day off early in the area with wind and no place to fly. That sux. Who wants to go in on some land somewhere? I am serious. We need to secure someplace stable for us to go so kiting can expand. We need a good scout or something. Anyone got some time on there hands?

Would be so awesome. Like 6-10 acres... or more if you lease it out to sod farmers!
