Curse broken!
I woke up this morning to clear skies and 8-12 mph se winds, time for the maiden flight on the new 5.6! I get to one of my spots, rig up, strap the
killers on, and pull back only to find myself connected to a Mack truck! This thing is INSANE! Got the feel for it and the first time I feel brave
enough to give it some power, 18mph gust. Needless to say the kite wanted me to practice my scudding. Keep in mind this is only my 3rd time ever
connected to a kite, so I didn't go for some insane air time. (I prefer my bones in 1 piece) That's not to say I stayed on the ground :P I had flown
the 4.1 a couple times in winds up to 12 mph before so I quickly learned to respect the kite, and wind. It's a good thing too! I couldn't believe the
pull and LIFT the 5.6 has! Even when parked at the zenith, this thing was trying to pull me off the ground. The longer I stayed out, the more the wind
picked up. It eventually reached a steady 15-18 with gusts to about 22 when I decided to wave the white flag. A bit too dangerous for a newbie pilot.
All in all, AWESOME morning of flight! Got a couple very impressive scuds, about 5 small jumps (they felt huge but I know better) and more
importantly, some much needed experience with the kite.
Hopefully the wind will die down a bit by this afternoon and it will stay rain-free so I can go back out with the 5.6 and my buddy can bring his 4.1!

Fly on young grasshopper ..... but don't forget your brain bucket!
If we hear about a UFO flying over Florida we might have an idea of what it is

Going to the store this afteroon to grab one! Not going out in winds like that again till the head is covered. Probably going to look into knee/elbow
pads too!
To anyone who is not a newbie like me: If you haven't flown the Twister II 5.6 yet......DO IT!

Grasshopper let me fly his 5.6, it pulls like a truck. I used the back strap on mine and it worked like a dream. I was able to fly much longer and
better.
I got some nice lift out of the kite and the controll factor is getting better every minute of flight time.
Grasshopper's 5.6 offered a few very interesting moments it flys much further past the Zenith than the 4.1 and when it comes back into the window it
wants to lift you off of your feet.
Please tell the Grasshopper to put the backstrap on his kite so he can fly longer his knuckles are dragging on the ground from over exposure to the
arm stretcher. Of course that look matches the back sweater of hair he has.
Need to talk to you about a suggestion for a land board.
Talk to you both soon.

you guys crack me up ... I need to come out and fly with you.
the knuckle dragging thing almost made me fall out of my chair
On a serious note if the kite starts to fly over your head apply some brake to stop it from going past you.
You might also try tying a second knot on the brake leaders of the handles to shorten the brake lines a little. I have not had much fly time on the
twister II and I have not tried this adjustment on this kite so I'm not sure if its necessary or not.

*grunt* huh? What you say? *grunt*
I attached the backstrap during a slow moment at work yesterday, I'm just waiting for wind conditions to allow me to launch again. Hopefully the
weather will hold thru this evening!
@Dakitez
Come on out, the wind AND locations are awesome! 400-500 meter wide beach that runs for a mile (literally) and not very populated at all!
The more I fly, the tighter the grip this sport has on me!

If that made you almost fall off of your chair you need to come and spend a day with us at our shop. We have people who wont leave the store because
of the entertainment value.
Need to run I have two shows today. One at the Marco Island Marriott and one at Alvinos. Man I hate kids (other than my own of course).
Sad thing is I am going to be on Marco and I cant fly. Scott if you get hungry after work stop by.
If winds are good tomorrow afternoon I am up for a trip how about you Scott?

Hit me up!
