Oregon 6-7 Barview County Park

I am going to Barview county park at Rockaway beach on Sunday. Anyone want to meet up and Check it out. The Google pics look good. Looks like it is walk in only, but parking is close to beach and looks like a buggy will fit down the path easily. This is at the South end of rock away beach.
Cheers
Brian

Let me know how it is; rockaway is not too far from manzanita, but never been to their beach :o It's a resort community so there's probably a lot of ppl on the beach. Was hoping to make it to sunset today, I'm guessing there's still a bunch of folks planning to go; in pdx this weekend and may not be able to head down for today :/ Wind forcase looks bleak, currently I'm seeing 5 from SE onthe sensors. noaa claims it'll turn to a 9W. Here's hoping!

Actually I used to go to Rockaway quite a bit and it was mostly a lot of people driving through, the beach was usually pretty empty.

The beach is ok Bigfoots help to make the beach wider. The beach is flat with no dunes and lots of small 10ft trees along the edge of the beach. There were some people but not to many. Lots of driftwood about. No cars on the beach so you have to haul your stuff in on foot. Overall a decent beach plus there is a camp ground that is on the other side of the trees so you can camp and not have to drive. My site was right at the beach 30 ft to the sand.
