helmet

does anyone use a full face helmet (like a dirt bike helmet) for landboarding or snowkiting? I was thinking that come winter I might like the added coverage it would provide (and look pretty killer)

speaking of helmets. do many use a helmet while on the water?

I've got the standard protec helmet for water but I dare not use it on land; it's flat black and I've thought about spray painting some color on it so that there's better visibility to me by other kiters, (my wife), and heaven forbid, the coast guard. If I had another go, I'd probably get a really bright color.

For land I use a K2 Crossifre snowboard helmet year round :) It's got enough padding to keep my head warm in the winter and vent holes that open up for the summer! I usually keep it under 30 so I haven't gone the dirt bikehelmet route yet.

I use a full face moto-x helmet but it really restricts your view.

Hi,

new to the forum so be gentle :D

i' use this full face for lanboarding: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=17399

its surprisingly light and doesnt get too hot. visability is obviously not as good as it would be with a standard lid but i get on with it fine.

have yet to have a big wrek with it but not sure how the peak would hold up! oh and theres the added benefit of if you bail, no-one can see who you are!

Mike.

Same here and use a skull skin from this place to change it up a bit.

Skull Skins

I also have a bright orange skin to be seen at different riding areas.
