Anyone want to trade handles for a flexi bar?

So I replaced my lines and took a good look at my Flexi handles. I noticed some good fraying inside where the stopper knot is. hhmmm that does not look good!

I have a flexi bar [4line] with pulleys that I never use. In very good shape- I bought it for buggying and I am a handle freak so if anyone has a GOOD set of handles with leaders they want to trade let me know.

And don't try to pawn off your Pansh handles you have had rolling around your trunk for the past 18 months either!! I have 2 sets in MY trunk that I am keeping for when the world comes to an end and that all I have left to fly with!

I need something like Flexi, HQ, Ozone etc.

I can post pics if I get some interest. So go look in your backpack full of kite junk and lets make a deal!

why not just redo the leader with 2-5mm climbing rope or something from the local boating store. I've done that on a few handles and assume it could just as easily be done on Flexis.

Costs just a few bucks for the line and 15 minutes of labor.

The problem [?] is I can not see how they get the knot inside the handle. There are no caps to remove so I am at a loss. Any ideas??

I could redo the handles with a knot at the back of the handles but then it gets messy. I like the knot inside the handles. I looked in my trunk and I have 2 sets of Pansh- one Rhombus, one Profoil and one set of HQ basics and none of them do it for me.

Anyone want to buy some handles??!

I am looking at the HQ ultras- cautious about that funky design but I will post to see input.

I've never taken the neoprene off the top of my flexis but assuming the top of the handle is open, you tie the knot in the line first and then work it through the back and front hole so when you pull the leader tight from the front and back the knot slides down into the tube. It may take some coaxing. The tricky thing is usually getting a hold of the line from the outside. I've used needle nose pliers and I've also run a long needle up from the outside of the handle, passed a few stitches through the new leader and then used the thin line to pull the leader out of the hole.

Its a little bit of fiddling but should be doable.

Going tooootally from memory, but I believe that the newer Flexi handles (not the Pro-Links) have a big honkin' vinyl endcap underneath the neoprene. It's just pressure fit on and can be wiggled off. Have to double check when I get home tonight.... if for no other reason than to gauge how far the senility has progressed :shocked2: :wink2:

I have a set of HQ Ultras with KK if you are interested... I would like to get my Son used to working a bar before he moves on to de-power.

Well thats typical of my life... I just bought a set of Ultras and now a trade opens up!! :dunno:

Let me see if I like them and if I do a second set might be in order. If not I would be willing to sell/trade my bar.
