I am just upset. Here in Montreal, it's all on ice. We got almost nothing this year.
When I watch the news, they keep telling us that North East of USA is getting it all.
The planet is upside downbobalooie57 - 10-2-2010 at 07:35 AM
We've got it all! Not really, We're seriously down from our average 200", but we do have snow and wind on the Tug Hill! Wind forecast for the
weekend (Fri.-Mon.) is from the west at 8+ mph, not really crackin' but enough... It's usually more than forecast on the hill anyway, usually worth
the drive!ragden - 10-2-2010 at 08:19 AM
I'd love toe make a trip up there this weekend, but I need to save some money. That and we have lots of snow and wind down here right now... bobalooie57 - 10-2-2010 at 08:25 AM
Sometimes your best spot is your backyard!lad - 10-2-2010 at 08:30 AM
i don't know enough about snowsports. But is seems you'd hardly keep anything from disappearing into all this powder! Baltimore region snowfall is
already ahead of Buffalo and Caribou Maine!
I'm stuck indoors... hungrily watching kiting videos on Youtube. I feel like the dirty ole man in the raincoat who sits all day in back of the adult
theater...:moon:
I'm keeping an eye on the Florida weather reports again...maybe waiting for the right roads to clear...Drewculous - 10-2-2010 at 08:31 AM
^^LMAO!!!lives2fly - 10-2-2010 at 09:47 AM
Best of both worlds here right now - dry and windy on the coast - snow on the mountainsB-Roc - 10-2-2010 at 10:18 AM
We're supposed to get 4-8" and its the first real snow since the lakes have frozen up nicely. I too have engagements all weekend that will make it
hard to get out action jackson - 10-2-2010 at 10:27 AM

Lots of dolphin today!.................ajlad - 10-2-2010 at 10:44 AM
AJ,
I might be dropping in again soon! :smug:rocfighter - 10-2-2010 at 12:28 PM
Lad how do you know about the old guy in the raincoat in the adult theater :puzzled:lad - 10-2-2010 at 12:40 PM
I was former Treasurer of the Pee Wee Herman Fan Club. :Procfighter - 10-2-2010 at 12:47 PM
How is old Paul Ruben??
Is it wrong that I know his real name? He may be a perve but he was and I guess still is a very funny guy.lad - 10-2-2010 at 12:57 PM
He is a Boomer - pushing 60.
Pancake makeup can still do wonders for aging perv comedians.
I was gonna say "The Paul Rubenfeld Fan Club," but I knew the joke would lose something to esoterica!
Back on topic - the snowstorm millibars are in the Cat 2 Hurricane zone! Talking 50 mph winds some places...megadrifts!!!rocfighter - 10-2-2010 at 05:18 PM
Well they lied again about the storm at least for us. We got about 2" of heavy wet snow. But the winds are picking up. We get drifted in here a lot
when it really snows but I think this one will be fine. The feilds up the hill are barely covered. This is unless we get a large blast of snow
tonight. :wee:B-Roc - 10-2-2010 at 05:24 PM
This storm was a big bust. We got maybe 1/2" at best and some spots have nothing but grass.Maven454 - 10-2-2010 at 05:25 PM
We got about 8" where I am.doublespeed360 - 10-2-2010 at 07:09 PM
yea b-roc what a joke ,they blue that one .will be able to go ice-bugging still at lake q.rocfighter - 11-2-2010 at 06:05 PM
We ended up with about 4" of wet snow.
Doublespeed & B-roc Are you guys anywhere near Southwick? I used to go up to Lake Cogamomg(?) a lot because my Ex-mother in law lives there. It
was a great place to skate years ago.B-Roc - 12-2-2010 at 06:52 AM

The only Southwick I'm aware of is the Southwick Zoo but I thought that was in Mendon so I'm not sure if we're talking the same area or not.
(Un)fortunately every lake in the area right now is great for skating as the snow disappeared several weeks ago leaving only cold temps and lots of
ice. Great for skating but I'd prefer to be kite skiing. Winter started out great for us but we've been snow deprived since late December.
I think I'll be headed back to the beach to landboard before I get out to kite ski again this year.kteguru - 12-2-2010 at 08:49 AM
You could always bring the kids to lake Q for fun on the ice B-roc. Dan's got blades on his buggy and I'll be testing out some new blades on mine
this weekend also. The wind looks good for sunday. Maybe we can tow Pauls sled behind the buggies:wee:. And of course the kids are always welcome
to ride with meB-Roc - 12-2-2010 at 10:56 AM
I was planning on heading out on Monday. Kids are skiing Saturday and I have a family thing at the in-laws on Sunday. Anyone off on Monday? What
time are you guys going to the lake on Sunday?rocfighter - 16-2-2010 at 05:58 AM
Ok so one more dig for the weatherman!!
They were calling for 6-10" of snow from last night till tonight. Then yesterday they changed it to a total of 1-3" thru tomorrow.
This morning at 6am I had to clean 6" of fresh heavy snow off of Sandy's car and then my truck and plow not only our driveway but our whole road so
she could get out to go to work. I guess the plow guy watched the weather too and slept in! It is supposed to snow all day and thru the night. I have
tomorrow off from work too WOO HOO :wee:
Granted we like the snow a lot. But these weatherguys are sucking cheese this year!!
