Kites and castles is an event that has been going on for 21 years. So far it is just a sand scupting event with a small fun fly. this is my first year
running the event and as a kite flyer i am interested in the kites a little more than the castles.
this year the event will also be held as a fun fly, but as i get settled in to the event next year we will be an aka sanctioned event and hopefully
have a kite comp as well.
lake McConaghey is a large lake with lots of soft sandy beaches to fly. every year we have a great turn out as far as the castles go.
this year i would like to invite all the kiters to come enjoy a fun fly at the 21st. annual Kites and Castles event

not on the weekends.... the place floods with soccer kids... i just got word on a big plot outside of town, im gonna go scope it this weekend....
once the spring season drops off, the place is pretty manageable whenever you can make it... but in the summer, bring a big kite... the winds stay
pretty mellow in the summertime... as of late tho, man, ive been lovin the daily 20mph winds :duh:

yeah man did you catch the 60 gusts on tuseday, that #@%$#! was nuts, i was out in the morning but it got a little heavy with the 2m. i was going home

insect00man yes you will need a bigfoot, i am stuck with just a flexifoil, so no soft sand for me, however in the winter months it is verry posible to

there is one guy in gering i know of... hes registered on the boards... but is RARELY on. A buddy of mine has a twister 4.1, but never flies. another
buddy of mine, has no kites, but goes to the fields with me whenever he can... and word is, theres a guy in town with a pile of LEIs... California

so no... pretty much me and you.

hey, sorry i missed you this weekend... had two graduations, and two grad parties to cram into two days... plus two different mothers day dinners...
just a slammed weekend all around!
next weekend i may be able to head down to mac. but i just dont know, my life is more hectic now than it ever has been... wedding, new house (buyer to
seller, no agent.... more work for me!!) graduations, family moving, new nephew..... man.... for all the good things going on, it is flat nuts 'round
here!
