Hoping it's a joke

Seen on another forum ...

Hi
I saw something on TV called kiting. I have now bought me a Wipika 5.0 LTR
I'm wondering
1) If this is the latest model, or if I was tricked when they said it was a 2011 model?
2) If this is a kite?
3) If I have 100% depower with 2 lines?
4) If there is a difference on which side of the kite bar I attach the lines, as long as I have marked left side of the bar red?
5) How long will it take before I can make a mega loop?

Since I saw this on TV, I have been very eager to start kiting!

Sadly it's not readily apparent immediately after birth which mothers should be given a selection of dipping sauces. The impact that would have on the actuarial tables would be mind staggering. :o

In some cases, stupidity is raised to an art form over the course of years/decades aided by disproportionate servings of luck and cat whiskers.

Sam

Here's another one that unfortunately ISN'T a joke ... some guy in the US from the zx-10r forums mods his bike for better ram air and more power :puzzled:

And paints his brake discs ... yes ALL his brake discs

heliboy50 - 24-5-2010 at 02:37 AM

Still not as good as the guy on the gixxer forum that put energy drinks in his gas tank:bigok:

Kamikuza - 24-5-2010 at 02:46 AM

You're not wrong
... did you see the dude who drilled through his ECU trying to install an undertray?

rocfighter - 24-5-2010 at 04:48 AM

Painted brake discs are just like when we were teens and my friend spent about 3X the value of his car to chrome out the engine so it would have less wind drag. Right down to a chrome starter, oil filter housing, Altenator, valve covers, wire weaving and Dist. Cap cover.
It takes all kinds.
Except the chrome just holds all the heat in. The paint on the rotors is just stupid and deadly.

My favourite comment ...
"says a lot about the prosperity western society is enjoying. 50 years ago an idiot like that would have struggled to feed himself never mind buy a preformance bike."

Don't bother with the bar and string, chuck em away: just hold the wingtips of the kite and you're good to go like a Pro.
Enjoy.

Just buy an old ironing board for your first board and you are set. Harness's are not required on this kite.

Looks like he has been getting some good advice anyway:evil:.

That was a classic. That thread went on forever. He "thought" he was adding Nitrous to the gas or something cause the bottle looked the same.

Remember that one also.
I can shamelessly admit I once drilled into the battery while drilling a rivet out of the side panel on a Ducati 996.... $100 that could of easily been saved if I just used my head.

My retardations so far have been limited to breaking bolt heads off and rounding out hex heads ... oh and pulling things to bits to see how they work - then being unable to get them back together

Every real man has done this at least once and more than likely multiple times.

Well, actually I haven't got any other usr name, I just wanted to find out what year that kite was made

I'm not a beginner, and I just bought the kite for about $50 'cause it was cheap, and I wanted to have some fun with it... So thanks for the info that it's an '01 model (that was the consensus, right?) and hope that I didn't step on anyone's toes Take care, guys!
