Picked up my first mountain board yesterday. Giveaway deal on craigslist for a MBS comp16 pro. Came with a brake installed which I will remove after
I get comfortable and ready to ride with a kite. I’m goofy foot, so I spent a couple hours last night reversing the bindings and swapping the trucks
so the brake is on the back. The shocks came with yellow eggs and were set in the inside holes which seemed a bit unstable for my 195lbs. I moved the
shocks to the outside position which stiffened things up a bit but it looks like my turning radius is going to be quite large. I’m thinking that I
want to move the shocks back to the inside setting and install either orange or red eggs. Any riders out there want to offer their recommendations on
orange vs red eggs and inside vs outside shock position. Haven’t taken it out yet but ultimately will be riding on grass and beach starting with my
4.7 Rage and progressing to my Montana.

i wouldnt be too concerned with turning radius at first... i am of the opinion the stiffer the better for learning... reduces speed wobble, too
when you get that wobble, by the way, put more weight on one of your legs (i prefer back leg)

Like any boarding sport, the rear foot provides a majority of the control.
I also would suggest stiffer to avoid speed wobbles in the future, with a little bit of experience you'll be edging a LOT harder and therefore turning
a lot harder.
Hope you have good winds!
