looks sweet ... but I see those back tires eating up some arms :wee:cheezycheese - 26-10-2010 at 03:28 PM
i thought about that. they're not as close as they look. ROAD TEST !!! rolling down my cul-de-sac it certainly feels a lot more stable. :wee:rocfighter - 26-10-2010 at 03:50 PM
Don't worry Cheesy, Chicks dig scares!! :wee:
But I bet yu can figure out a stretch or call WG!!BeamerBob - 26-10-2010 at 03:54 PM
You can add long siderails and the wide axle for not alot of cash and it'll have the same feel but be much more stable and save the elbows. I scrape
mine on barrows on our comp XR, but I'm 6'4". The wheels look serious nice.Todd - 26-10-2010 at 03:56 PM
Scars are like tattoo's only with better stories, looS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-n PimP Cheesy!cheezycheese - 26-10-2010 at 04:08 PM
Needs a fender Todd...jellis - 26-10-2010 at 04:27 PM

Marc, that looks good. Now I'm thinkin backrest. Might keep ya from rubbin your elbows by keepin ya steady.jellis - 26-10-2010 at 05:05 PM
Needs a fender? Now a wider axle is the ticket.cheezycheese - 26-10-2010 at 05:22 PM
I don't think I will leave these wheels on there. I was just playing with my toys. I picked up this buggy for the compact/portable aspect. But I
thought it would look cool. Too bad I can't make rear fenders, that would help things...shehatesmyhobbies - 26-10-2010 at 05:27 PM
Marc you are one sick dude! Love the fatties on there! :eekdrull:Kamikuza - 26-10-2010 at 05:30 PM
Like ripsessionkites - 26-10-2010 at 06:53 PM
lovely!!!
the PL Side Rails will only extend 15cm more and the PL Rear Axle is 120cm however you can get a custom 140cm Reinforced as well.arkay - 26-10-2010 at 11:25 PM
I think the turning weight of the tires and rims alone might bend the frame... but on a serious note, I'd top it off with a aluminum spoiler jantie - 27-10-2010 at 03:07 AM
these alu rimm's look great, but the excessive weight is something i don't want a high speeds.rocfighter - 27-10-2010 at 04:19 AM
Just remember Cheesy. The heavier the buggy the harder it hits you when you flip!!:wee:jellis - 27-10-2010 at 04:43 PM
Those aluminum wheels are lighter than plastic wheels the same size, truer and stronger for sure.ripsessionkites - 27-10-2010 at 06:10 PM

are you sure they feel heavier, i used them on Day 1 at Brouwersdam. than i switched them out on Day 2 for the Cadkat at Ouddorp.
maybe i should go weigh them to find out.
also note that if you wanna race, these are not legal by FISLY rules. you would need to place a rim cover over it.
again, Cheezy's Buggy is Bling Bling.csa_deadon - 27-10-2010 at 06:25 PM

Why are they not legal?Chad - 28-10-2010 at 04:16 AM
You know cheezy if you decide you dont want to keep the tires on that nice buggy you have, They would look really nice on my new ride.. Hint hint
hint? jellis - 28-10-2010 at 07:29 PM
Yes if you race in Europe using their rules any spoked rims must have a cover. The covers are easy to make. In the states we omitted that rule. They
do look a lot better than the plastic ones and in the heat of the dessert they will not let the tire blow off the rim as has been the case in the
past. Maybe plastic rims will help racers get a better score if they are that much lighter but I doubt it.
Here is some bling for ya
popeyethewelder - 28-10-2010 at 11:30 PM
lol..very good Cheezy, reminded me of when I pimped my ride a few years back

not completely true (cadkats dont require covers) as you can have designs on your rims even run alum rim ones too, but the hole size needs to be
between ? x ? cm.jellis - 29-10-2010 at 09:30 AM
Article 3 - Kite Buggy
3.3
(c) ......................................................... The SPOKE wheels (wire wheels) must be shielded with a hard material.
Your are right Rip plastic rims do not have spokes, my mistake.awindofchange - 29-10-2010 at 11:07 AM
So would the aluminum wheel be considered a SPOKE (wire wheel)? That doesn't make any sense.indigo_wolf - 29-10-2010 at 11:32 AM
"Wheels are not constructed with exposed bare spokes (like bicycle wheels are) because this would put the buggy driver's hands and kite handles at
risk of getting caught in the wheel."
I don't think the distinction has to do with the actual construction of the wheel. I think it has to do more with the chances of something getting
hooked up in the wheels. I think the term "spoke(s)" was more a linguistic expedience more than anything else.
The Peter Lynn plastic tires have indents, but the chances of something getting trapped in them or similarly constructed wheels aren't that high.
For the aluminum wheels with cut-outs that go all the way through, body parts would be a write-off and non-biological parts would become impromptu
emergency brakes.
From that perspective, it makes sense.... at least to my slightly tilted perspective.

If your not careful you could get your manhood cut off in those wheels. LMAO ROF The rule was written for the tall spoke (bicycle type) wheels and
yes sir they would be dangerous if those parts Sam spoke of got in there. doublespeed360 - 29-10-2010 at 05:28 PM
cheezy, morrie williams and i make back fenders for our peter lynn buggys.16" tires check out popeyethewelder's site#54 and #66 circa 1997cheezycheese - 29-10-2010 at 10:56 PM
Popeye, i like yours alot more... wanna trade...? i'll cover shipping both ways !!! :tumble:cheezycheese - 31-10-2010 at 12:20 PM
Guys you were right.... My elbows are burnt up!!! Funny though, no holes in my sweatshirt. I got some skid marks on my sweatshirt but am missing sime
skin on one elbow. Didn't even feel it til I got home... :D
Gotta buy elbow pads. Buggy feels great with those big tires though...kteguru - 31-10-2010 at 02:38 PM
