WTF? 1:45.......what do you do when you don't come down? Or were they staying up on purpose (and how)? Man, if I knew the kite would just hold me there I'd be chucking it like Lenten everytime I flew!

PHREERIDER - 26-7-2011 at 06:54 PM

That's what huge Flysurfers do. ;) Keep the kite in the air and it'll keep you in the air. It requires the perfect wind conditions though, also.

What kind of fs is that? That's next on my to get list :p

It's a Speed 3. Very expensive. They like to be flown ONLY in butter smooth wind… if you live inland and the wind can get choppy, I'd forget about it. They don't handle gusts well, and are designed for their bottom end, not top. In the right conditions they are a gem… unsurpassed bottom end power, limitless lift and float… but in anything a bit bumpy, they are prone to folding and just not flying properly.

And I thought my 10.5 blade was lifty rofl. That video makes me want to get a depower now :*(

.....yup. Page 25 of the Speed 3 manual.

Sick!

carltb - 27-7-2011 at 02:34 AM

in this vid the hang time is produced through hill gliding. the wind travels up the slope and accelerates which produces mega lift. then a combination of rising up and moving backwards gives you extended hangtime

Impressive.
