Well boys and girls, it is time for the few to get things together for the most..........
A few of us are setting the dates for the Wa. Beaches for 2012. Through NAPKA we will have 9 events, that will be 3 days each. There will be 3 beaches
to hold the events. So 3 events times 3 beaches = 9.
We will also be setting the dates for the Wa. Beaches for the PNWBA, (pacific north west blokart association). Which have the same event opportunity
as NAPKA, another 9 events.
What we want to do is ask anyone that would like to attend, is what dates would you like for us to consider and put in the events for?
Any suggestions? Tides, holidays, razor clam digs, weather, etc, are things that need to be worked around. Please be aware that the State has a mind
of there own and we are trying to work out a schedule that works for everyone and the State.
We will post the results of the schedule as soon as the State OS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s the selection.stetson05 - 5-2-2012 at 02:38 PM
Looking forward to see what is available this year.arkay - 5-2-2012 at 03:03 PM

North Beach June 1-3 is a possibility as we're way north of the festival.
South Beach July 13-15 is a NO GO as the festival area overlaps our buggy area.MikeDobbs - 17-2-2012 at 09:29 AM
Ooooh- any dates in the summer would be AWESOME! July in particular would be great. The wife and I are both off work so could make it down for an
event : )

Crazyherb, I have a paraglider to convert. How much are you thinking to spend? I think it is 24m but might be closer to 30m. I can't remember. I
have thought about sending it to powerzone to see if he wants to convert it to depower.

Mellow winds...but Westerly!
Stevefletcht - 20-5-2012 at 07:32 PM
Saturday, winds were light played around on the 12.5, buggeyed on his 10 until tide ,and winds, called a halt to play time. Everyone left for lunch I
sat and ate on the beach, visited with Monty for awhile. Hope to get out later with you Monty. Winds started to come back, about high tide. 12.5 was
the weapon of choice, made a run up the beach and back Gerald came back. Morrie came back. Buggeyed and I made a great run up the beach to Ocean Park,
8 miles? maybe. Winds picked up some on the return got interesting. Glad I have a heavier buggy. Switched to my 8, ran back up the beach and back
,crazyherb was there winds started to mellow more decided to call it a day as buggeyed, was going for his 14m and crazy was still rolling around on
some big c shaped inflatable thing. didn't have handles so I lost interest. Just kidding, maybe someday I'll give a go to bars and boards.I have one down, bars.
How did the evening progress? Did anyone venture out Sunday, between the rain showers? I opted for a movie and a beer (2). Maybe Monday.
Next time.
YAY!
crazyherb - 20-5-2012 at 07:54 PM
Good times guys! Nice meeting everyone!!
I just went straight for the big 18M North Rhino (Sat afternoon) the winds were light...and, at times, it was more work keeping "The TANK" up in the
air, than I like.. :P
I've posted a video from my helmet mount for your enjoyment.
As for today?
I've been watching the rain turn on and off all day.
Didn't even bother to go explore the beach for any of the crew.
Had a great time!! Looking forward to next time... :wee:
Stevearkay - 20-5-2012 at 10:27 PM

Geraldfletcht - 21-5-2012 at 07:46 PM
Glad you got some more flying in. Also glad we didn't canopy that group of 75+ kids that came running out to the beach and sucked all the wind away.
Good times, hope to see you all again before to long. Quincy sod farm next weekend.Morrie Williams - 19-6-2012 at 07:31 AM

Where and when will you guys be playing this weekend? My wife and I would like to hook up with you. Thanks,Morrie Williams - 21-6-2012 at 08:18 PM
For the Grayland, WA event we'll be on the beach about 1/4 mile north of the Grayland Beach approach (by the Ocean Spray Resort) 9:00 or so in the
morning.
For the Pacific Beach, WA event we'll be on the beach about 1/4 mile north of the Analyde Gap approach (just north of the Navy base) around noon.bigkid - 21-7-2012 at 06:16 AM
Anyone coming out this weekend to Grayland?
Any info on the approach?fletcht - 25-7-2012 at 12:32 PM
PNWBA (Pacific Northwest Blo Kart Assoc) has two upcoming events. This weekend at Longbeach, and August 4th at North Beach. NAPKA members are welcome
to fly. I'll be at Long Beach flying near and around Cranberry Approach. Staying at an RV park quarter mile south of Cranberry so I will be flying out
of there, wind allowing.
Hope to see some others.bigkid - 25-7-2012 at 02:32 PM
I hope to be there also:D
Cranberry/Long Beach
crazyherb - 26-7-2012 at 07:28 AM
Saturday afternoon low tide wind prediction is looking SWEET....
There's a NICE wide spot just North of the approach...and just South...
Last time I went it was groomed almost up to the hard-pack...
ROCK ON!!fletcht - 27-7-2012 at 07:07 PM
If others show up, use cranberry approach. Otherwise I might not find you. Don't look for a vehicle, I'll either fly from the RV park just south of
approach or park my trailer at the approach then park the RV back at the park. Hope to see some others out here. Looks like light mid morning and
afternoon winds.fletcht - 28-7-2012 at 05:52 PM
nice 7 mile Cruise to ocean park and 7 back. Nice wide low tide beach with a lot of hidden water hazards. They looked flat. Forecast is for more of
the same tomorrow.bigkid - 26-8-2012 at 09:20 PM

When, and if, you ever get to wachtong beaches, let us know. I know I would have a good laugh. Better yet, have someone take a picture of you there
wearing one of your Canadian honkers while your on the beach.
