Peter Lynn 2015 Hornet 4.0m RTF for sale. Comes complete with lines, handles, kite killers, kite stake, and the beautiful green Hornet 4.0m backpack.
This kite is in extra-crispy "like-new" condition, having only been flown 2-3 times on grass fields with no crashes. I'm only selling it since I'm
going to an all single-skin quiver and because my bride has dutifully informed me that if I want new kites coming in the front door then old kites
have to go out the back. :saint:
New this kite costs $350.
$225 plus shipping

You better believe it! I'm 20+ years into my second and final marriage. If I screw this one up I think I'm just going to have to come to the
conclusion that I'm not very good at it! soliver - 25-7-2015 at 03:40 PM

I have a woodshop with tools to sell too though ssayre - 25-7-2015 at 03:46 PM
smoking deal on that hornet guys. I would buy it if I didn't have any adult responsibilities that are taking precedent at the moment. I have flown
my bosses (which he only flew once and never again) and it is one of the nicest flying well behaved fixed bridles I have flown. I think they really
did a good job on the latest hornet. One of those kites that I would probably like a quiver of if I could.
I would say it's more exciting than a beamer but more stable and forgiving than most of the medium aspect offerings. Kind of an under rated kite in
my opinionWindstruck - 25-7-2015 at 03:47 PM

Sorry I was flakey...

kkites - my store is (almost) always open! How do you want it, RTF or kite-only? Please feel free to send me a U2U if you'd prefer; we needn't do
this in the stark light of day. Windstruck - 3-8-2015 at 05:05 PM
Thought I had this sold.... Now not so sure. Get it while it's hot! :DWindstruck - 5-8-2015 at 05:45 AM

This is a great price. Someone needs to nab it. Summer is the hardest time to move kites other than water kites. I know I'm hiding inside while
the temp hits 104-108 the rest of the weekWindstruck - 6-8-2015 at 05:17 AM
Thanks Mike! I hope you are having a great summer. I'm a little surprised nobody has grabbed this one, but as you say, the summer is a s-l-o-w time
to move non-water kites. I'm in no particular rush to sell it. It sits all boxed up and ready to go in my garage, patiently waiting for its new
owner to surface and give it the use it deserves. It's a great kite as you know!ssayre - 6-8-2015 at 06:42 AM
I consider a 4 meter the perfect high wind kite for a heavy rider that's inland and rides grass. I think it would cover close to the same range as a
3m on hard packed sand. I almost never have the wind for a 3 meter or less kite (probably 3-4 times a year). Comparatively, I frequently have 15-20
wind in the spring / fall which a 4 meter on grass is perfect for.Windstruck - 6-8-2015 at 06:46 AM
Sean - completely agree. So where am I shipping it to in Indy? ssayre - 6-8-2015 at 07:03 AM
Thanks Steve, but still saving my pennies. A 4 meter foil is what I started with and learned to buggy with.Windstruck - 14-8-2015 at 06:15 AM

if summer is a slow time to sell my 3 and 5 meter beamers, guess having my wife pose in her bikini with them is the next step in one-up-man-ship for
the other hawkers of gear on PKFWindstruck - 23-8-2015 at 10:10 AM
Too funny! Bring it on Big Daddy. Yes, very slow selling in the summer. In this particular case I'm in no rush to sell. I'll bump it up from time I
guess. Bikinis sales aids would be awesome. If not, send in the clones!volock - 25-8-2015 at 08:37 PM

Still for sale?
T in WI - 29-8-2015 at 06:22 PM
Hello,
I have been reading some about Peter Lynn models and their quality. I am looking for a 4 line kite somewhere in the 3m range. I have not flown much
only a symphony 1.8 and I am already hooked, hooked big time! The question I have is will this be too much for a beginner level enthusiast? I don't
plan to use it for buggy or board just some grass field fun.
It is a great price just more than I was planning to spend. If it is a kite I will be able to get use out of then I will have to see if I can scrape
up the needed funds. Just don't want to have something this nice collecting dust.
Thank you for your time
TWindstruck - 29-8-2015 at 06:53 PM
Hi T - yes, still for sale! This is a great kite by a good manufacturer. Practically new. You've asked asked some good questions. To see whether
this is a good kite for you it would be helpful if you let me know where you live. You've mentioned grassy fields so I'm thinking inland. Second,
how much do you weigh? Not trying to get personal, but a 4m (versus 3m) Hornet has more pull and a very light weight person might find this more kite
than they want. If you are average size or larger than that shouldn't be a problem. With the wind up over 10 mph a 4m fixed-bridle kite like a
Hornet will give you a nice work out but not leave you afraid you are going to get hurt. Also, a 4m still turns nicely (compared to larger fixed
bridles), particularly when you learn how to use a touch of brake on the side you want to turn towards.
All in all a great kite at a great price, unless you weigh less than, say, 150 lbs.T in WI - 29-8-2015 at 07:12 PM
Windstruck , thanks for the quick response! I live in Northeast Wisconsin along Lake Michigan so although I have room to fly along the beach, most of
the time I will be inland a few miles. I weigh 200 lbs wish I could say 150
If you were to guess how large of a box will everything fit into? Just trying to estimate shipping cost.
Also what methods of payment are you looking for?
Thanks again for the response

Well, that was quick.
T, once you're the master of that Hornet, cheezy has a 3m and 6.7m Core that will not only compliment your static quiver, but are also excellent buggy
engines.
Welcome to the family. Windstruck - 30-8-2015 at 11:56 AM
Howard - quick? One man's molasses is another man's quicksilver I guess. :D
This took 5 weeks. Every other kite I ever sold on PKF took about a week to unload. Had this Hornet been a 3m it would have gone in a day.
I agree - Cheezy needs some love! hiaguy - 30-8-2015 at 06:49 PM
Actually, I was referring to the (almost exactly) five hours between T's first ever post on the forum and your posting "sold".
I love the Hornets. They're as stable and sturdy a kite as I've flown and I've watched lots of people (including me) smile as they've learned under
its shadow and are generally my go-to kites when I'm flying static at my local park or teaching people.Windstruck - 30-8-2015 at 08:58 PM
Howard - got it. I for one am pleased he joined! :D
I'm with you, the Hornet is a great kite, one of the real nice basic work horses in the FB armoratarium. I just made a decision for better or worse to
go all single skin in my quiver so it just didn't fit the lineup.
I actually like static flying my NS3s. They are amazingly compact so it is easy to carry a bar and, say, three Stars and you really aren't all weighed
down or bulked out. T in WI - 5-9-2015 at 05:41 AM

First off, THANK YOU!!
Box on the front porch last night when I got home late. Immediately had to open it up to find everything in perfect condition.
Now just a reminder to help understand the rest; I have only flown a symphony pro 1.8 a couple of times so very new to foil kites.
I was like a kid on Christmas morning! Open the rucksack and pull out the kite thinking OMG the only thing keeping this from being new is it isn't
wrapped in plastic! I start unrolling & unrolling & unrolling... Move some furniture in the living room, unrolling & unrolling... By this
time my eyes are so huge and chin is on the floor from the awe I am in. My GF pipes in "do I need to get you a towel before you drool on your new
kite?" unroll a couple more times, stand back and holler "Oh Yeah! This B!±¢# is Awesome!"
After zoning out for about 5mins staring at the beauty of the new hornet I had to grab my little symphony to lay it next to the Pl. Man this is the
real deal, I mean 6 times larger than the little HQ. (okay maybe 4x).
If you haven't picked it out yet, I am very pleased and very thankful for your advice and sale of this kite. I am going to do my best to get more
time on the HQ and wait for the right conditions after that to take her maiden voyage.
Thank you again for such a great experience and I promise to take care of it as it is truly a thing of beauty for me

T - makes me smile to read your post. I'm most certainly glad that you like your new toy. Yes, I try to keep my kites in good condition and
appreciate that you notice such subtleties. Kites are an investment in my view, and with proper care can last a long time.
This "Good Trader List" is a valuable way PKF members can share their good feelings (or frustrations) with fellow members so we know who we are
dealing with when buying, selling, or trading. Thanks in advance for that!abkayak - 5-9-2015 at 07:06 AM
Great post T...we all have gone thru that same experience...nothing like opening a box w/ a new kite in it....well nothing PG anyway....10 mph max 1st
time out...hope you have read the tutorials on coastalwindsports.com...they will get you to where you want to be much quicker

Many of us have worn that grin.
thanks for the slack jawed drooling flash back to my first Buster 3.3 Soulfly unwrapping years ago.............welcome to the big boy league up from
your 1.5, but Big is always relative when you watch a 15m or 19m that swallows the sun and sky make an eclipse as it passes overhead.Windstruck - 8-9-2015 at 10:50 AM
I know just what you mean Windy! Funny how kite size becomes so relative after a while. I've done a lot of flying of my "session saver" as of late
(12m Peak-2) as the winds this summer have been light and variable much of the time. Then a couple of days ago it started to howl with gusts clocking
30+ mph and I had my 2.5m NS3 darting around above me. After staring up at the 12m Fat Lady for so long the STAR looked like a postage stamp on a
string! :D
