Euro Riders coming to Nabx 2009

ripsessionkites - 23-9-2008 at 05:35 AM

works are under way to get a few euro riders to nabx 2009. currently i'm trying to help them get their buggies to Vegas. They are going to send them by boat there.

so i was wonder if i could send them to AWOC (kent) or Corey's shop?

where can I get smoothie tires close to vegas?

currently their dates of stay: March 28th untill the April 5th

any extra help would be grateful.

thank you in advance. 6 months to go. woohoo.

awindofchange - 23-9-2008 at 12:19 PM

NO problem sending them to me here at AWOC, address is on our website. Just mark the boxes with what they are and make sure to let me know what is coming and how many packages. You can pick them up at our shop or I can bring them down to NABX with me when I get there.

We have smoothie tires in stock as well as ribbed tires, bearings, tubes...etc...

Ozzy - 24-9-2008 at 11:43 AM

For one or other reason I cannot login with my previous "username" Jeroen P, so I just made a new acount on the forum.......lets hope that it stays on for now.

About the trip for us to the US,....hell yeah,, we cannot wait to come over....

Ricardo, Kent (?) , we are glad that you guys offer us some possibilitys to get /recieve or stuff in the US.

Another thing which probably is needed, is a Van or Pickup for all our stuff. Is it better to rent when arive or reserve a Van or Pickup in advance ?, and does someone has a good (cheap) webadress for doing that (from holland).

We keep in touch !!.

Regards,
Jeroen P aka Ozzy

USA_Eli_A - 24-9-2008 at 12:09 PM

welcome to the states dudes.....bring them small tires....nothing else goes as fast

ripsessionkites - 24-9-2008 at 08:10 PM

ozzy, sorry i missed you on skype. you guys are 9hrs ahead of us. i've online at *5am PST* giving ruudje some details, and has also been talking with Maria (kitemama).

we will get you all here, Kent has volunteered his services to recieve your buggies at his shop. thank you in advance. (i will email you their mailing address, so you can estimate shipping costs)

ozzy, check out www.priceline.com and you can search out prices on a rental car/truck for LAS (vegas airport) pickup.
we rented a mini-van from priceline last year and ended up paying $20 per day. you make an offer to Priceline, and they will either accept or decline it, its like a bidding system.

now that that dutch are coming, i'm working on the germans next.
time to give Top 10 Male/Female Racer List a challenge since the last time the Euros where here.

Craig Sparkes - 29-9-2008 at 09:09 AM

SWEEET, I've got the whole week off this year!!! Now hurry up winter, c'mon spring!

ripsessionkites - 4-10-2008 at 01:02 AM

thats good to hear, eli ... it sucked last year that you only got 2 days.

its turning out good right now, with a lot of interest from the other side of earth. i've posted about nabx on a few different forums to get the word out.

cant wait!!! :wee:

USA_Eli_A - 4-10-2008 at 02:01 PM

YEAHHHH BUDDY!

Sthrasher38 - 13-11-2008 at 04:21 PM

RIP do you think I can get a run in on the nitro buggy this year? Rip got me good my first year. He said check out my buggy it has Nos. I said no way. So I went and looked an sure enough not one but 2 Nos bottles straped to the bug. Nice affect.

ripsessionkites - 13-11-2008 at 11:37 PM

you or anyone else for that matter, never need to ask ... just take it for a spin. :spin:
my toys are your toys. :bigok:

DirtSlide and I both had NoS (water) on the buggy ... this year well have something a little different again.

whatever you're managing to get in speed this season, i'll make sure you hit 60+ at NABX, even if we have to buggy into the night. bring some Depends though. ;-)
i wanna see another Pansh explode again. sorry Dakitez.

also i'm firming up the details / flights / hotel booking with the Dutch Xxtreme Team next week. you'll get to meet Ruudje and Ozzy. The Germans i've spoken to, seem a little less interested because of their racing going on. oh well, i tried.

Krohn1999, are you coming???

Ozzy, bring that Reactor II with ya ... if they dont get produced by than.

cant wait!!!! :bird:

Ozzy - 15-11-2008 at 08:25 AM

As I heard from the designer from the new ReaktorII ,its only some weeks/months before final production.

And man , they are f#cking fast, at least for a intermediate, a good rider (John Jansen) her in Holland achieve to end a second place during the finals of the Eurocups race series.

So , that quite amazing,....I am wondering what the new PL race kite (Vapor) is going to bring as this intermediate is already the fast !.

Still have a question, is there on the NABX a tire programm ? so that we can puschase tyres and/or rims overthere ?

About next year,... we will book our flights next week, most probably, and we will take out APexx buggys on the plain itself, so that we are sure the we will have our stuff with us.

If there are some other guys who will get in contact with us , add us to skype,. for me: xxtremeozzy

I hope to get you sometime on skype,.unless it is difficult due to the big time difference,...me also , having a buzzy job.

hope to see an speak you all in the states !.

regards,
Jeroen aka Ozzy

ripsessionkites - 15-11-2008 at 04:12 PM

ozzy ... sorry again i missed you on skype at 7am. i know ruudje called you when we were skyping.

tires and tubes can be purchased through A Wind Of Change ... its already setup, just need to know how many you might need at first.

PM a time you're free next week so we can chat.

thx for the update on the PL.

Ozzy - 22-11-2008 at 10:07 AM

oke guy's , tonight we booked our flights to Vegas,...:wee:

We will arive the 28th at aprox 8:00 PM and leave the 5th at 7:00AM, we will fly with Delta.

Question, as we are with the 3 of us, I don't know if it is possible to get a 3 pers. room ?, otherwise we have to book 2 bedrooms for the 3 of us.

Maybe one of us can share a bedroom with another participant. If interested , let me know.

best regards,
Jeroen Potters aka Ozzy.......
Ruud van Engelen
Arje van der Tol

acampbell - 22-11-2008 at 04:36 PM

Remember, the rooms are like $28 - 32 bucks a night because these are casino hotels (that's where they make their money). It's still money I know, but a whole week at NABX is the same as one night in New York City.

jellis - 22-11-2008 at 06:12 PM

Ozzy would your let Fast Arie know I will have a Libre Hardcore XS 150 axle, 40lb weight set ready for him as Hans and I discussed. Looking forward to seeing you guys and if I can be of further assistance please let me know. I will have extra tires, lines sets, handles, and Libre Spirits.

Ozzy - 23-11-2008 at 02:56 AM

Oke Jon, I have sended a llink to him of this topic, good to hear that this is solved.

deanaoxo - 28-11-2008 at 06:52 AM

Don't forget for you first timers, we have a pre event where we camp out on the lake bed, no hotel needed, just some kites(or sleeping bags) and all are welcome.

If you are a first timer and are unsure of how it works, contact me, i'll fill you in.

We really don't like to talk about pre event stuff on here to much.

Everyone welcome!

aoxomoxoa

Bladerunner - 17-12-2008 at 06:40 PM

Welcome Cooperkite!

It will be an honour to meet You Folks at NABX!

You will beat me in your buggies but I hope to stick with You to 40mph! :ninja:

Be sure and say hello. I'll be the guy on the odd looking rollerblades with the Van crowd.

:bigok:

deanaoxo - 17-12-2008 at 07:09 PM

We can't really do the five lake challenge at least not the way we once wanted to.

However, that doesn't mean that we couldn't do an all lake challenge, to tour folks from far away throughout the Mojave basin, to all these hot spots we know about.

NABX will help. If there is any interest. Eli, you can lead it, me, i'm where the bombs fall silent, and the glass melts slowly.

DrBobke - 23-12-2008 at 06:47 AM

Hi dudes!

Nice to see the 'welcoming messages'. I'm also a Dutch rider (from Team Cooper). We will be touring around from LA to San Fran to Yosemite to Grand Canyon and back to Las Vegas to join you at the NABX. Hope we will not be too slow for you speed-driven kiters!
Can someone tell me what the pre-event entails and what is the PRO of going there? (otherwise, we might have some more time to chck out the sites in the vacinity of Las Vegas).

Best regards,

Tha Doctor.

USA_Eli_A - 23-12-2008 at 10:24 AM

ummmm....Dean? you really aren't gonna rally the rider for the 4/5 lake challenge...

Dean, I'm available, if you need a sidekick or some extra muscle let me know. I've got a shinny new trailer and TIME!!!

Please let me know how it work ifffaaa you don't wanna go...I'd like to get to NABX on the 1st monday...so perhaps I'll just plan on smith creek than Ivanpahh.

cooper and Dr bobke.................there are many places to ride. I you guys are into speed I've got plans to make nearly 2-weeks out of my vacation to NABX...

I'm planning on riding at smith creek, a great dry lake smoothest in america. The pre-event is an amazing loop of 4 or 5, i'm not sure which of them are still available to ride on...Certainly go for the 5 lake challenge. But let me know if you'd be into smith creek...it awesome looking on google earth

u2u me, I"m organizing my trip, I can snag a trailer, and I'll be hooking up with zloty and riccchard for a loop through the lakes.....

MG-kites - 23-12-2008 at 11:31 PM

First week me make a trip with the camper.
From 28th we are in Las Vegas.

I'm reachable by email, it's easy, and i am never far from my email, ask anyone.

info at nabx dot net works as well.

meanwhile, this page is an overview.....

Let's keep our sport happening, growing, and safe!

Also, big huge shout out to all the visitors from overseas and down south! We welcome you! Please contact me if you have any questions about anything having to do with the event, i've been coming to the Dry lakes from the beginning(Buggy Naked Pin #4!) and can not stay away.
