What did we get for Christmas?

McDuck - 27-12-2008 at 10:24 PM

I figure the question has to be asked. What did we all get this holiday season? Christmas, Hanukkah, etc. I'm guessing some of us got some Kite related gifts under the tree. I'll start:

My one and only present this year (from my wife) was a new Flight Lite 100 mountain board. I'm giddy as a schoolgirl. :wee:

So what did Santa bring everyone else? Kiting or otherwise...

SecondWind - 27-12-2008 at 11:08 PM

My son got one of those micro mini indoor RC helicopters - it rocks!

I keep sneaking it out of his room to fly it.

furbowski - 27-12-2008 at 11:47 PM

Wheels and tires for the franken-buggy build, a bad a$$ iron cross and skull hoodie, and a GPS . Bug might be done in a couple of days now. Then comes waiting out the soggy Pac-Nw winter for a chance to ride.:bigok:

BigMikesKites - 28-12-2008 at 07:12 AM

My Mother paints and I took Her some of my favorite photos to do. I'll have to ask Her about painting a shirt.

Got a set of Hillbilly :moon: pads. Now I'm getting older I have to start worrying about busting a hip

dylanj423 - 28-12-2008 at 10:15 AM

Great shirt furb...

Good gifts all around, it seems. My Parents financed my 9m century and Flexi Bug Mk 1 for Christmas... and tossed in a quality tent for those beach camping trips that I will be taking this summer.

Hope the New Year brings new adventures and good times for all.

McDuck - 28-12-2008 at 12:08 PM

I forgot to mention my bro-in-law got an 8m Ace and the day after christmas was the best wind day we've had here in AZ for a long time. We took his 8m and my 6.5m out and threw ourselves around the whole afternoon. Also got some good landboarding in as well. I'll post some pics in the picture section later.

WolfWolfee - 28-12-2008 at 12:20 PM

Cool, I got one of those too. Do you plan on making it mobile or permanent? Being wireless and battery operated, mine is coming with me. Probably not for daily trips, but definitely on extended ones.

USA_Eli_A - 29-12-2008 at 10:31 AM

csa_deadon - 29-12-2008 at 01:19 PM

Now just have to find a good helmet to spend the money on.

McDuck - 29-12-2008 at 02:14 PM

I had no idea what a 661 pro pressure suit was so I looked it up. Very cool. And west winds 20-25knts is someone's way of saying you were good this year. =)

wow I never thought of making it portable. thats a great idea! they are on sale at costco right now so I may get another one for that.

the one I got for x-mas is already mounted on top of my roof and I'm planning on throwing together a cheapo PC so that I can get it linked up with windonthewater.com and weatherunderground.com

but then again I'm kinda broke so I may just try and make the one on my roof easily detachable and build a little portable base for out out of a broken camera tri-pod or something.
