Have you tried dried fruit? You shouldn't overdue it as the calories are still there, but one or two slices of dried mango or something should nix the sugar craving. Carrots or celery would be better, but sometimes the sugar beast roars too loudly to ignore.

i only like plain dried fruit... and all the stuff i can get around here is like caked with sugar... it actually hurts my teeth there is so much sugar on 'em... i might start hunting for some... i know around fall, i can find plain dried apricots around here.... hmm, maybe the baking section has some :puzzled: i like those craisins... but they have a ton of sugar too

my sugar beast is usually pretty mellow... but man, today it is just all over me

Sugar cravings: Long chain complex carbs (like some in workout supplements)...the whole apple followed by a glass of water diet...and something really insane, the Indian herb Gymnema Sylvestris. I tried a demo-table sample under my tongue years ago. I swear, I couldn't even taste sweets for hours afterwards - no cravings. They also said it helps eliminate smoking urges too.
