I guess I have not mentioned before that I'm somehow a black hole of customer service at GI. I do not exist to them. They don't answer when I call,
they don't return my calls, they don't return my email.

That's bizzare......
Are you on some FBI, CIA, NSA, Interpol watch list? Are you part of a kitten trafficking ring?
Email is generally hit or miss. Via phone, someone usually answers within the first few rings. The only time this hasn't been true is if they have
loaded up the vans, stuck the staff on roof carriers, and are attending an event.
In either case, your dealer should be able to get you sorted. If you are in the US, Angus, Dino, and Kent are all GI dealers now.... not sure which other PKF retailers are. If you are elsewhere, I would have to dig around a bit.

I believe hubs, tires, tubes & and bearings are going to be about $90-95 USD. Pretty much the same as a MAK/Vegas/bearings package when they
weren't on clearance.
Battery powered jack and chipmunk pit crew in matching uniforms is a bit more.
Not as wide as the Wheeleze, but nowhere nears as price abusive. Respect to them, but they (the Wheeleze) are overpriced, because they are a niche
and they know it. I expect they have amortized R&D and other costs years ago.

I know it's meant to be funny, but the whole Bonsai Kitty humour is just totally lost on me.
Too easy to believe there are folks that will want to try anything they have seen on the Internet (satire or not).
Reminds me too much of the opening scene from "Untraceable."

... when we got our present cat as a kitten (2 years ago), I used to put him in my sock - the whole of him would fit in there and I was amused for
hours while he struggled to get out. Ok 10 minutes but it was a great ten minutes!
Was thinking of this the other day so decided to give it a try - I managed to get his great fat head in there but not the rest of him ... he struggled
for a bit then just rolled over in front of the heater. Stupid cat.
iWolf - that's $90 each or for the whole set? :puzzled:
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

There was other stuff in the box, but even so the box was on the weighty side and you might get burned on that. I suspect a goodly portion of that
can be attributed to the 4 ply tire carcass. I can call GI and see what shipping to Shiga is.
If it turns out to be too much, you might still consider ordering the bearings and Multi-Hubs from GI and sourcing the tires and tubes locally. Just
a thought, as tires and tube are wear items, and you would have to do the same monkey dance whenever you had to replace them.

If anyone has some experience w/ 8-3.00-4s in sand, tell us!
Would they still keep an edge without any grooves or rims? I'm sure they're great on asphalt.
(Off-Topic - just to redeem myself)
I did find BonsaiKitten to be very polarizing humor when I once sent the URL out to all my friends.
It's hilarious to me 'cause it just absurdified what cats quite naturally do (stuff themselves into jars, boxes, etc.)
I couldn't bear looking at realistic movie torture/killing of pets (as opposed to it happening to average movie stars),
But I thought the sleeping/electrocuted/revived dog bit in "Something About Mary" was the funniest part of the movie!

Shipping (pretty sure they said for the whole package) will be $40 - $75.... depend on which speed class of courier falcons you select. The portly
ones are slower and stop for snack, so their commission is much lower.
GI said they were down to 8 or 10 Multi-Hubs left.
They now recognize me by my originating area code .... <* Death by Embarrassment *>.

Didn't mean to come off the like the PC police. Both our cats had sketchy former homes. One (never fully named, so he has a few monikers) was in a
home where at least one person was allergic to cats and so he spent a lot of time locked in the basement by himself. He was very skittish upon
arrivel. Still very much a large feline bunny. A year later, he is comfortable enough to walk over to me and tap on my elbow when he wants to be fed
or scratched.
The other cat (Duncan, named after the yo-yo... put him down, he gets right back up) was had been taken away from a third party (that was obviously
worthy of being reported by to the ASPCA), by the neighbor's kids. They kept him for a few days until the mother found out and it was decided they
couldn't provide a permanent home. We pretty much adopted him on the spot. Smallest animal in the house of two cats and a dog (our other dog passed
in the Spring), but definitely the Alpha. Part demon, part opera singer, part base jumper, all streetfighter. Only cat I have seen that can climb
paneled doors/mouldings, and willing freefall from horizontal launchs. For all the mischief he gets into, it is hard to stay mad when he climbs onto
your chest and starts head butting you.
Neither cat has any spatial sense and they can often be found trying to crawl into an empty Ritz box. The dog isn't much better trying to wedge into
the cat bed. The latter is only tolerated because when the cats knock something out of a shelf or off the counter, the understanding is that the dog
is supposed to pry it open and the cats are entitled to retrieval fee.
Absurdity is a strange thing and unfortunately too common place in everyday life.
A few years ago a high-school student got ashed because he was out in a field and came across a tank. Wanting to know what was in it, he opted for
using his lighter.... doesn't take too much imagination to suss out the end of that story.
Pegs both the absurd and Darwin meters.
Fair number of animal immolations in the Boston area over the past two years. Enough to notice anyway. Absurd, but not funny.
Not dragging out a soap box, just wanted you to know where my initial response came from. I probably fall into the Robinson Jeffers/Hurt Hawks camp.

Sam

Oh and for the record I'd love it if GI gave me a little lovin. They ought to do something considering the MBS factory is just down the road.

Errrr.... ummm.... just U2U me your CC number.... and if you see a charge for a custom Ozone 8M Access XT.... well, pay it no mind.
GI and Ozone are merging (true story... ) and some of their inventory
descriptions are still off. :saint:
But seriously.... the best way to do it is to contact one of the GI Dealers (I am just a customer)... I didn't think you would want to call GI long
distance.
Perhaps one of them will see this and hit you with a U2U. Otherwise (and I expect you know this) Angus is acampbell, Dino is Dakitez, and Kent is
awindofchange. Hit one of them with a U2U.
Have them place a drop-ship order and then Paypal invoice you. Since it is not on the GI or any retailer's website, that's what turned out to be the
least muss and fuss... at least that is the way my order was handled. If the Multi-Hub gets totally sold out, the unlisted GI 5 spoke will also take
the Slicks and the cost should be comparable.

OK.... cute dog story then.... When Bridie really want to wedge herself into one of the cat beds and it is already occupied, she toddles off to the
water dispenser in the kitchen and takes a couple of massive gulps of water. She holds it in her mouth, and runs back to the bed, opens her mouth and
dumps the water on the feline interloper. When the cat vacates the bed with a look of disgust and indignation, Bridie smugly jumps right in. She
doesn't mind the dampness as she has more than a little water dog in her.

Actually, how about I send you a money order for $500 and you send me the change back? :D
I'd hate to bug the boys if there's no profit in it for their time ... will GI do email?

Don't want to speak for them, but I am pretty sure the dealers would be cool with it. However, I understand the concern about taking up their time
with a low margin order.
The only other option, I can think of is if you want to U2U me an email address, I can contact GI in the morning and see if they would be willing to
do a direct Paypal invoice to you. You pay the invoice and GI launchs the falcons.
Edit: Just checked and their shopping cart uses Google Checkout which can issue invoices for offline orders, so it looks like they
are set up for it.... just not sure if they have done it before.

Most distributors that drop ship will not do so overseas since it means a trip to the PO and customs work. If I send, then I have to list it with
customs for at least WS value. If I give it to someone else to ship, it's their biz how they declare it.

Bought my first set of Cheng Shin 8-3.00-4s 3 years ago. They are still going strong (on asphalt).
Made heavy duty for riding mowers, 4 ply, load range B.
