The bearings are a SUPER tight fit. I don't have a bearing press. I took them with me to pass to KC888 so he could do the job and then realized I
hadn't brought the spacers.
I may not se KC tripple eight for two weeks now.
I doubt I'll get them out much before NABX but will post picks as soon as they are mounted !

I think that stuff in glow sticks can be "painted" on to give you the lighted wheel effect. I see visions of glowing gear flying thru the dark.

yeah, Sean mentioned that he made the bearings fit tight as the bearings he had, had a lil rust so he felt that they would be a tad loose without the
rust... they should just tap in with a rubber hammer though... If we need him to take a lil off the bearing seats we can... if they are that tight,
it's gonna be a #@%$#! to take them out, hope they last forever... LOL...

snowspider - last winter they had a festival here called "winterlight" and during a star party out in the boonies some of the locals slipped those red
LED turtle lights into the intakes on their kites and took 'em for a rip. Rumor has it it was cool but they could have used more light (they had to
stick to red LEDs because of the astronomy stuff going on).
Might have to bring a handful to NABX.....

I used to have a full shop but not with my new job. He has the right tools + ideas to get them in. I'm not in a rush and trust him.
YES , I am aware I'll have to destroy the bearings to remove them.

a ceramic set would be as permanent as it gets but may cost more than the rims .
the races are brittle and will not tolerate alot of "make it fit encouragement" .

very nice, lifer gear for sure. weight /\ ?
run them up to speed with a drill or lathe , see if the shake or run out.
should be all the same . i would think you could hold a little more speed if they are a fraction heavier.

I didn't weigh them but I think they are not a lot more heavy at all. I never expected all the extra weight to be shaved off but am sure pleased with
the results !:cool2:
With Olympics, having to travel to kite and B'days it has been busy. I only managed to do the tires while watching the hockey game.
I plan to take my complete back-up stock set up to NABX. Hopefully as a loaner set not for parts.
