My week just got longer.

Can we speed up time.

I was going to post another thread just to tease ya but this seemed a good place since everyone is worried its raining. Pictures taken one hr ago

I pulled out a kite i flew on the playa last year and tasted the dust. Still fresh, but I'm running low...

weather there looks a lot like here in Phoenix....very high clouds but no rain.....

I got a chance to talk to a meterologist about what it all means and found out some cool stuff....when they say 30% chance of rain it means 30% of the forecast area is going to get rain, weither it be a trace or 3 inches....and when the radar shows rain, it could be measurable rain....it could be virga (rain that doesn't hit the ground)....it could just be dust in the air causing a return. Just some info to maybe sooth some anxiousness.....because none of us wanna be rained out.

I had a meteorologist shun the same line of thought about % chance of rain once when I asked. I had heard the same thing. He said that it was just what it said. There is approx. that chance of rain in the entire forecast area but 30% chance means it might not rain at all anywhere in the forecast area. This seems more plausible to me, but alas, no degree in meteorology.

This backs up what I thought.

Ricky if it makes you feel any better, I just got done perusing houses for sale about a half hour away.

We're all going to be there anyway; I'd just prefer not to be stuck out there! I'll have a deck of cards on hand in case it rains. I suggest we check the weather rock on Monday.

It was just a short session today. Hit 41, not too shabby for a couch sailor hahah. Still no rain in Vegas, primm should be fine

Called this morning to Elmers..seems they are busy fishing there right now and can't play.

I just got off the phone with a friend who lives in victorville , he says it rained all night till 6 am. lots of standing water when he took the kids to school all over. Victorville is about a half hour away from harpers.
