On Water = Depower LeadingEdgeInflatable
(Want to try large Flysurfer in lightwinds shallow water sometime)

On Landboard = Fixed Bridal on Hard Surfaces, otherwise Depower Foil

In Buggy = Fixed Bridal on Hard Surfaces or Small Areas, otherwise Depower Foil

On Snow = Depower Foil

De-power passes the crucial test: " can you do it with a beer in one hand?". Always de-power for long reaches down the beach. FB for very light winds or for training/ demos.

Mood: even when I have time to kite, I don't have time to kite

Depower but considering FB for the following:
1) faster set up
2) easier ground handling; just stake out the brake lines to take a rest
3) stealthier flying; my ARCs are big, attract unwanted attention in fields where noone said I can't fly but I never really asked, and they scare my FB friends

I love Nahant but rarely get there anymore.

Well, the crowd has spoken!! And I am surprised at how many "Land Riders" have gone Depower. I thought this crew would still be hardcore Fixed Bridle
[Yes, WELDNGOD I see you waving over there!!] Times have changed I guess.

I sadly admit I too am going over to Depower. JUST ON WATER though! Yeah, I say that now. tried my C kites the other day and could see the safety factor was not there. So now it is time to "go to the dark side" [WELDINGOD: "Don't go into the light! Nnoooo!!"]

But you will have to pry my cold dead hands open to take my Bullet away from me!!
