The strap sounds like it is not the load strap. On the left side you can see where I twisted the strap between the side rail and the axle.

Jeff, that would be great if we could sew a new one on. Shall i pick up a new simular sized set from REI?

In regards to lube, i have Triflo drip , wd40, wheel bearing greases, silver anti seize, etc....

I'm not seeing how some of you are "quoting" each other. What is the trick to that and larger pictures?

Pick up one at rei or I may have one.
Copper anti-seize is what we used in building nuclear power plants when I was working at Hanford.

Silver anti-seize would be the choice there. It's anti-seize you want.

Please keep in mind I'm not very mechanically inclined...

1. I had a similar issue with the side strap 180-out. It latched for me this way so the only impact I could see was the excess strap would hang down instead of laying on top. I too went through the exercise of trying to flip the clip. Am I missing something? I'll try not to tighten it too much.

2. I had a hell of a time installing the side rails into the rear axle. I finally used a bit of silicone lube--and a rubber mallet. I doubt they're ever coming apart again. :-)

3. There must be some trick to installing the second spacer on the front wheel rim. It took a lot of "finesse" for me to start wedging the spacer between the fork and the wheel, then tap the spacer into position to line up with the bolt (while holding a finger inside the spacer and the wheel to keep the wheel bearing spacer lined up).

4. I'm still not clear on the proper way to tighten the rear wheel axle bolts. The instructions say to lightly tighten the nut, then after the wheel is bolted onto the rear axle, they say to tighten the nut onto the rear axle. Do I then tighten the nut against the wheel (and tighten the bolt again)? Or what? I guess the question is what does "lightly tighten" mean?

It sounds like I should use some anti-seize on the rear axle bolt threads? Flexifoil says the bolts are "hi-tensile steel (not stainless). This is because stainless steel bolts, when screwed into the stainless steel frame, can lock up making them unremovable." That said, should I still remove them and use anti-seize?

Now I can't wait for some wind...and the rain to let up. We've had record rain for December with plenty more coming. I'm a web-foot but geez...

It sounds like I'm not the only one, possibly a batch of seats got made this way.

I realized in looking at my picture that the right side is only looped once around the side rail. I'll fix that when I replace the buckle.

I was thinking about anti seize, if i get any on the carpet the buggy won't be allowed in the living room anymore...

I was happy when my wife said "go ahead and order it", she knew i had been looking for a buggy for a while. I jumped right on it. Even had to call the bank because they were worried about over seas purchases. Glad I did it.

Just to put a final note to this thread.

I bought and received the buggy just before the Christmas. Right around Christmas the flexifoil company sent me an email asking to review my buggy. I mentioned everything that I did here, quick shipping and that I had some problem with my buckle being flipped and getting broken.

Just after the new year, Peter from flexifoil contacted me about the broken buckle. He sent out an additional replacement seat that I received about a week later. The buckle still seems flipped to me but it makes the buggy now usable. I want to say that flexifoil and Peter did a great job with customer service. I am extremely happy with the way everything was handled.

Eric

Just thought I would put this out there:
If any of you that purchased the Navaro don't feel like keeping it, I am in the market for one so send me a note.
I am a very motivated buyer :)
