Selling my Synergy's to get Chargers would mean going from 3 sexy full colour kites to 2 sexy bland kites ... that's a tough call eh

Looking at the arc calculator ( http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mx5alan/arcs/wind_range.htm) it looks like the wind range on the Charger 15 and 19 are pretty damn close together ...
would I be better off getting a 19 and a 12, d'ya reckon?

Kami how much are you selling your 12syn for? I may want to pick up some extras so I can teach people while I'm out flying. I'm not reallly sure what
you should get but a 19 and 12 would definatly cover more range. I tried out the12 once and it had an insane low end. It really felt like a lei.

On a surfboard I'll ride my 15 Charger starting around 20kmh, below that I'd be working the kite, closer to 25 km would be sweet and easily into the
mid 30's kmh to be powered. I've had great days riding a 12 Charger in the mid 30km range. We always get choppy water and waves - the 15 Charger isn't
my light wind kite on water but it's gets you moving in winter easier.
Quote: | i launched a 15 CH in 35 Knots, trimmed 50% in with the choppy waves I couldn't keep a straight line (feather weight) |
That's almost 65kmh - so that's launching a 15 Charger in double the wind that I can ride a 12 in - that i would have liked to see. Can't imagine even
staying on the ground at launch.

Gotta see it, too funny. I like riding them really powered as well but at 35 Knots launching a 15, that's really intense. I'd probably be riding an 8
or 10 really powered up.
cheers buddy

No video at all but we've had 3 days of top winds in the last month, 25 to 30 knots easy. I used the 19 and the 15 Syn those first 2 days and actually
preferred the 19. The 15 was ok but the jumps were more technical ... for my stage of skill.
The next day was 20 to 25 and I used my new 13m Xbow ... but wished I'd put up the 19 Syn :D I DID get video of that day - am editing it now
That's on the water though ...!
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

I've ridden my 15 Charger and 16 Scorpion up to 45 km (25knots) but even fully depowered the kite is really powered when it gets moving and then it's
just no fun to fly because you have the back lines so slack. It's just hanging on. It's just far better riding going to a kite that you can still
throw around a little in the wind conditions.
kudos to you Kami holding down a 19 at 30 knots - HOOJ
Bottom line, I wished we lived closer. I'd love to get out flying with a lot more of you more often - then we'd have some good kick ass stories to
tell and some good laughs. But you know someone would just get hurt trying to outdo the others so it's probably safer with some distance.

No problem for The Fattest Kiteboarder in Japan - I laugh at 30 knots! Ah ha ha! :karate: you should have seen the eyes bug out on the people who
asked what size kite I was using
Dunno about the smaller FSers for me ... I've got a cheap Psycho3 13 on the way to see if I like it in stronger winds and trying to jump and stuff -
for me now, the arcs and LEIs are just super-simple when it comes to stuffing jumps up and getting them back off the water ... too much tangling up of
the FS worries me :D perhaps when I have more experience ...
Certainly want a S3 21 ...
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

no offense to the center of canada, but it would be cool be closer too.
that day, as stated above i did change to the CH10, it was more fun than fighting to keep both feet on the ground. one time I was OP with BR's SYN 15,
and luckily BR and TDMC saw me with no ground traction and just grabbed my harness loop to bring me back. LOL.
too bad we only meet at NABX, you are coming this year right with ziggy?
can we have an earthquake to bring all the countries closer.
@Kami, you wanna pass some of the PHAT over to me, i could really use it. no offense! =)

come out early next year. I guess we'll see what happens

I hope so - been talking about it with Ziggy. Most of the other Ontario guys that came down to NABX have been doing a big group Hatteras trip around
the same time for spring time surfing - now so it's almost down to just Ziggy and I that talk about going any chance we can get. I have some serious
NABX withdrawal after missing last year.

wow, people must be dying to hear if you gonna sell or not. Synergies on the used market seem like water in the desert for arc flyers.
I another guy that might be interested in the 12 if you decide to sell.
