You were trying on Saturday. Winds were very gusty at nearly every location that day. Not good learning conditions. If you had made it out to any site
on Sunday, I think you would have had a very different experience...
Hopefully we have on-shore winds at Wildwood in Spring, and you will find that flying ANY kite will be 100 times easier...

Adam , I'm gonna try to make it . even if it is just for a day.I have alot goin on this April. Besides recovering from surgery, I am moving across the

I suppose you could put it on handles, kiteboyza didn't like the way his Blaze (II?) flew as a de-power, and said he hacked the bridle to put it on

Yeah, the green/white kite in the middle top is a Speed3 12m. I've heard you can convert them to Fixed-bridle, but I would guess that this guy is
flying it in its normal depower setup. That is a really amazing kite though...
edit: Blowing the picture up some, it looks like the guy flying it is in the buggy right at the far right edge of the picture. It also looks like he
has it in depower setup, with the trim strap pulled, you can just barely see the depower strap dangling ...

Mike, do ya think he stood a chance against those high perf. race kites? I don't know how speedy it is,looks alot thicker than the racekites though.
I would think that would cost him a little on the upwind run.

Honestly, I have no idea. There is something to be said for the simplicity of a fixed-bridle racekite. However, I wouldn't totally discount it just
because its depower, and "closed-cell". It is a very fast kite, with incredible apparent wind abilities. I would be curious to know what place he came
in at...

Race kites have a very narrow wind range for a specific size. What seems to be the right size before the race starts can be wrong 10 minutes later.
The advantage of the Speed is that it won't be nearly as impacted by changing wind conditions. If the wind stays smooth and steady, the race kites
probably have the advantage.

Yeah, geuss you're right about that BBob. I noticed that racekites tend to come in 1/2m steps all through the set.

She flys her NPWs quite well. When I was first learning.. she beat me in a race with her NPW... No comparison to speeds anymore, but she can go
anywhere with a NPW that us ARC or Fixed bridle flyers want to go. Might not be as fast, but she will get there and be comfortable doing it with
Beaux as her co-pilot. It's not always about speed, but what you are comfortable with... and Kitemaker4 will cruise along all day long with her
NPW's... smiling all the way.
