yes high tide and big rollers at JI yesterday..........Ive never seen Jekyll anywhere near that large........nfleech took off right away and put on a
clinic with his 9m Hadlow..................Phreerider was rockin on his 9m SK, and I put up the 9m Wainman Smoke. Have to say that was some big angry
water but I fared well althought I got tired rather quickly this being my 3rd water session in 9 months. Once the water moved out Angus was stylin and
profilin in the Invanpah with this 3.5m Rage. Awesome day had by all! As usual the kites drew alot of attention from photgraphers and bypassers.
Awesome surf and turf session on the JI!!!!

The wind was actually NE - my typo - and averaged about 20 all afternoon. On the way to the beach over Rt. 25 I saw whitecaps *IN THE SALT MARSH*,
the tide was so high. So as it finally ran out we were reaching for all the beach space we could and running in to the surf line for more hardpack,
timing my tacks with the rhythm of the surf. I quit when I could not see through the splatter on my glasses. Chad and I traded wearing his GoPro
and we got some good shots, I'm sure, with Chad catching great air and hang time on the ATB and Venom 13.
Don, thanks for dragging me out and great to see you riding again. Nate was really carving it up with the Hadlow Pro with some great air and
kite-loops. Great riding!!
Thanks all for a great day!

Keep an eye on that forecast. The favorable on shore winds have moved from Saturday to Friday, but there's 24 hours of on shore winds arriving
Monday-Tuesday.
Please, oh please, oh please!

Saturday looks good with SE winds forecast and low tide near noon. I have to work after 1 pm but may try a morning ride. Sunday better for me but
winds planned for SW.
I will say that I have lately seen a lot more on-shore winds. Too early to call an end to "winter" here, but the regular afternoon sea-breeze
on-shores are but weeks away

I'm trying hard to arrange Saturday. I need to take care of one more bit of business before I am sure I can do it.
My plan is to leave Gainesville at 6 to arrive at Jekyll by 9, buggy 'til the tide gets too high, then head home. The conditions to do look great and
it would be great to see some of the SOFKA crowd.

st. simon has better flats , but the NE, ENE can get ragged, the roughest front side stuff we get. the low tide is not so low if NE revs up.
FRI should be nice, its swinging east and that sweetens it. the previous have been nice. hmmmm may downwind to TYBEE island from here.
the sand bar at JI sets up nice at low as well. hopefully clear AND warm!

I sure hope the forecast holds. The wind directions are diverging between the Windfinder hourly and 3-hour forecasts.

The forecasts at St. Augustine and Jekyll differ, but seem equally good given the relative orientation of the beaches. I'm trying to drum up support
in Gainesville to either join us at Jekyll or to get a crew to go to St. Augustine.

So with the SW wind in the forecast for Saturday will we be able to make continuous runs to the south end of Jekyll? It looks like we can, but I'd
love to get some local input before I drive the 3 hours to Jekyll tomorrow. It's a long drive to get skunked.
FYI, no one form Gainesville can play tomorrow. I'm driving solo if I'm driving at all.
