The winds have been crazy this weekend: 25 with long gusts to 35. I took the new bar out yesterday, went to the crummy field near my house, hooked it to a 10m Scorp, and had a heck of a time. It was bad conditions for testing new gear. The up side was I got to test the safety system a lot and it worked great.

Today the winds were a little slower, much smoother, and the gusts were much lower. I went flying late in the day at the good field, had a nice buggy session with the new kit, and got some action shots of the new bar.

Man we got hosed for wind this weekend. Should be good today tho.

Slick bar set up Phil. Looks like less throw than the Navi but more than a '07? I know a lot of people complain about using a cleat instead of a strap, do you prefer the cleat?

I like cleats because I get ice in the strap or sometimes it twists in the buckle and jams.

The jury's still out on the cleat. My first cleat had weird geometry issues that are corrected by this one.

That said I can't yet judge this one as I am working out line length, trim travel and bar travels issues. These are not complete independent variables in this rig, so it's going to take some time under the kite to figure if I need to lengthen a line here or there.
