Ahh, ok, big difference there with the ammount of depower. So more of a depower range like the new flat/bow LEI's and such. Should make for some speed and huge air. I'll have to check the site out.

I probably only know enough about kites to be a danger to myself.
It seems to me that my Flysurfer phsyco 2 has variable geometry. Not just by the trim but by the WAC system. I have the option of trimming it closer to a C kite or a traditional foil. ( I set it in the middle and haven't tinkered further yet ) + it's amphibias !
It will be great to get a review by the maker himself. Hopefully he can explain the deferences between this and the other depower / adjustable kites .
Finally a 2 kite quiver. That ALONE is a major breakthrough.

Speedkiter,
For some reason I can't find the link to register at your site ? Where do I / we find it ? Have a great time with the new toy ! 1 more makes a quiver !!! :smug:

Hey Pablo , Glad Michel sent me the link to show you fellas, Myself as well , I only know enough about kite design to be a danger...

Michel from Concept Air said he will respond to the blog ... time permitting .. I know they are into a busy time with the new kite and the orders needing to ship ... so it will happen at some point soon ...

I tried to get the 10.5m in the air in zero wind ... felt like a kid running with this huge foil behind me to keep it inflated ... there was 0 wind , so a big disapointment ... dogs had a good time on the beach ...

This is a serious kite and has a very nice shape ... I can see how the de-power will change the foil shape ... but again ...need to fly it to give an opinion ... it is a solid built kite and looks amazing....

This weekend it will fly ...

Peace and kite on ....

Snow bird... you do not have to register to my site to send a GPS Jpeg. of your top speed... please send you top GPS speeds when you can ...
sign my guestbook as well if you have time .. thank you

Things are starting to lock up here .. small ponds and stuff ... thank freaken god .. going nuts..

Peace and kite fast ...

Hello everyone's,

It will be a pleasure to try to anwer your question about the SMART kite the better I can.

THE big point with this kite is it's huge windrange.
And I think it's been a question I have seen on this thread. Is the low range power or something like it, is still good?
Oh Yes very good!
powered or depowered , the kite is very cool.

We dont like to use the 100% depower worlds because this can be took as an ultimate worlds by beginner or inconscious rider and you know...
When you have a 10.5 sq/m kite in your hands, it's still big even with the best depower worldwide.

Now we will use XXX-Depower world.

What we use to do to show it's incomparable xxx-depower to rider, when we give the kite (any size) to the rider, we only hold it by the chicken loop and say , ''Dont touch the bar please :)) '' that's it.

cant wait for your questions.

However I will be out of the office till Tuesday morning.

Have nice breeze

Michel

Couple more questions if you don't mind, what's the expected wind range on the 10.5 for the average 200lb rider? What's the biggest size?

The largest size is a 12.5
If you go to the concept air website www.conceptair.com
click on the union jack for the english version
go to the kitesnow section and you'll find all the size and wind range info.

the link for the page with the smart kite info in english is...

Interesting, 5kmh is pretty good for bottom end, I'm curious to see what sort of speeds you can get out of these kites.
