The wheels were used red and black motorcycle rims I purchased on Ebay.
I swapped the bearings to ones with 20MM inside diameters to fit my axles, then I polished and painted them blue.

There is no “lake bed dust” in theses photos as they were taking just after completing the buggy.
And it still looks clean cause the only thing being sprayed on it recently is “ice shavings!”
Actually in about 2 hours i'll be back out on the frozen lake.

Lovely job, I'd just love to try ice skating in a buggy but there's not much chance of that here in the desert.
