Not that I want to keep this thing going wildly off topic, but I'm really curious what this means exactly?

Also, is "DP" short for something or is this the full name of the company?

I just checked our local kiteshops website. They don't show the Beamer but the Rush 300 is $249 cdn. Add in the exchange and I think that is = to DP ?

Seems Eli made a small mistake mentioning Pansh as comprable in price ! Perhaps He should have said any QUALITY entry kite like HQ, PKD, Ozone, P.L. or MANY others !

To claim that Pansh kites are RTF is ( or at least when I got mine ) a bit of a stretch. Do they even include a manual yet ? All the models I mentioned above truly do come RTF! Most are complete with kite killers and stake !

You are trying to compare the ACCESS to a fixed bridle kite and I think that is a bit of a stretch. The access by design was a lighter / less tough model . $$$ Ozone made that clear enough I could understand ? I still find your tip tuck story to be tough to believe ?

Don't try and put down another companies attempt at a bar when you pimp for a company that has sold depower kites without ever selling a bar for years now ! A manual would be nice. 1st person I came accross with a Blaze II had NO idea how to hook it up. He had it backwards and on the wrong knotts ! RTF my :moon:

These claims of early models of Ozones to be #@%$#!e is the first I have heard. Possibly a European thing ? Ozone has been around a LONG time in kite standards. If they have made a few small mistakes it is NOT because they didn't spend ??? money on R + D !
Pansh's R + D consists of :ninja: ?

If Pansh truly is the biggest selling kite, I agree that it is simply because they are so cheap to buy. I do think they have a good but extremely active return policy ! When I started in the sport I was pleasantly surprised to find most kiters where middle aged. Equipment was expensive so " certian " groups where held out. Because gear was pecious people protected it and each other in a way that no longer exists. I'm not so sure that cheap kites are the BEST thing that ever happened to this sport ? :dunno:

Eli started this topic offering to pass around a kite for peoples opinion. Somehow Andya comes in Pimpping like Pork Pie on Pansh and then calls Eli out for standing up for Ozone ? This thread isn't / wasn't about Ozone or Pansh ? You seem to troll the forums for that " pansh " word and then make it all about YOU and that cheap product. You love it, we get it. We also know the product for what it is !

I'm exausted just reading this thread. BladeRunner, thanks for the even-handed reasoning, as always.

I've seen some Pansh kites fly pretty well, but I have always found it interesting that many pilots ( I have met) seem to apologize for owning them in the first place.

Ha Ha,

I fit squarely in this group. I always feel compelled to tell people that the only reason I bought my 5m Ace was because I couldn't believe anyone could sell a kite that cheap ! It was almost like I bet $99 that the kite was crap. Mine was the $99 intro special.

It turned out that after some tweeking it isn't too bad a kite after all with inferior handles and lines. NOT RTF.

I don't hate Pansh. I'm about to trade for a second one. I'm just realistic about the company and it's product / price / target market.

My biggest problem with the company is that their customer base is mostly the people who NEED instruction the most. They sell them any kite they want with little more than a warning label on it. No instructions and no concern for what these low income beginners ( usually immortal Kids ) plan to do with their new weapon .

I'm just tired of Andya coming in and stirring up all sorts of negative remarks about other people and products. He NEVER seems to contribute anything but bad vibes and an OVER defensive attitude toward the product HE represents ! No one ever seems to be able to back up His outrageous claims ???

How's the list for the demo kite?

I've got the Cooper kite demo here and haven't had any good wind other than the first day I had it!!!

I tried the pass the Pansh kite program last year and wasn't impressed at all with the kite. For the price it is decent but I wouldn't have wanted to be on a big wave with the kite.

So just curious but it sounds like the pass the DP kite is a bust. I haven't had much wind lately anyway, but I would still like to try it if it is still going. Or maybe I am just waiting for my turn.

I am more bummed that Eli seems unemployed cause he sold me my first 2 kites. I was wondering if that is why it the program isn't working. I hope kiteon is still there.
So if the program is still a go it would be great and an update would be appreciated.

Just in case, don't misunderstand me, I am not mad. I think it is great that I just might get to try a kite where I live, about 6 hours from the coast, where there are not many around that kite.
