the back stall landing with roll to the sliding ring side then unhook is the neatest twist free option up to about 15-18mph , suicide leash has to be switched to the slide ring it will surprise you about one time.

the v13 is controllable fully stalled straight down the window.

temporarily landing?? ..land or fly... in between you will damage it /or bowtie and that sucks

never stake the bar/loop..... a sand bag for the kite is a good option

"LE down" ... it must be really light wind or you WILL damage the rig trying to do this. in super light air there are some "kinda safe" options but just drop it and reset.

"pull the release" you mean unhook and let the bar go and allow the leash to flag the from the front line. you should use this until you are good with the stall.

accepting the fact that landing means complete reset, period, if you're solo.

land it, do what ever and launch. the launches became brainless in time.

the temp land is??? ....back stall, HOPE the kite clams and sits there, then snatch launch it open but only in light wind. better make "what ever" quick

set up for stall with the bar in all the way, keep it neat for quick reset is the best you can do solo

Ok, great advice man thanks for the time to write that up. I will unhook until I figure out how to do the stall thing. Thanks!!!

Phree, if I understand correctly, you do not need to activate the red emergency release to drop the kite? You can simply unhook, let go of the bar, and the kite will flag out on the leash line?
Now that I think about it in this context, I think this is correct. Dang I'm smart:crazy:

That's the way mine works. My complete disconnect safety opens my chicken loop and it slips out of the spreader bar, flagging the kite on one front line.

yes ( remove the finger lock( donkey dick) from the harness) unhook and let go.

now for the "i got time on my hands" homily.

using the red pull is good practice but use as much as you want to replace it,

you want it in good service ... not seized up or frayed from use

when the red pull comes to mine i have already unhooked manually.

if an emergency arrives under load it most likely too late, no reflex will help, but all the holy bits and pieces moments i have worked through land and water are slack....and then seconds later sudden full load THAT IS the time from red pull or ninja manual unhook.

as fly time accumulates in your body and mind 99% of trouble you see, you see it coming. and you are prepared to ride it out and evade or "red pull" out. the mental option is kept apparent by checking constantly, at first, with out pulling it(you've already done that enough). its ready status is all you need, IE location, position, and positive engagement. it kinda becomes a hand rest when you relax and cruise and your reflex will be even quicker because your hand will go there without thinking. and that is what the red pull is all about.. i always liked older naish quick releases, hooked in pulling it to you seats it, so you use it like a saddle horn(grip and push out activated it) and constant attention was needed to make sure it was seated fully. the liquid force loop is cool but the slide always required spit EVERY launch, it always had drag and very stiff to operate the first time (dry sand from the previous session)but conscience awareness everytime.

Well, you guys have another amongst your arcumsized ranks. I flew my Phantom this morning in light winds and it was perfect conditions for a shakedown cruise. This kite is going to be perfect for those gusty inland winds I always have to deal with. A gust would hit it that would have me on the edge of my seat (literally) with a fixed bridle and the phantom would just shudder a little and soak it up. After I had it in the air static for awhile I realized I was thirsty and walked over to the car upwind with my back to the kite, opened up the car door and got my water bottle out and took a drink, all while the kite happily hovered up at zenith. Unbelievable. I didn't have enough wind to really be able to throttle it up for buggy acceleration but I can certainly see the potential. Lift is very manageable as well. I could go flying up the field and pull the kite to the top, turn the buggy and then speed off the other way with no air under my seat. Tridude, phreerider, and now mgatc aren't crazy in spite of what you might think. Well maybe you think I'm just crazy too now! :ninja::wee:

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Let's just keep this as our little secret!

In fact, we must get THIS message out: Arc's are awful. Hard to launch and land. IMPOSSIBLE to water re-launch. Have no power, lift, or float. Are totallly un-manageble in gusty winds. Takes two hands on the brake line to turn it.

So.

SELL, SELL, SELL your Venoms, your Synergys, your Phantoms TODAY before they become completely worthless! Take whatever offer you recieve from someone (like me;)) who is foolish enough to want one of these "Rags". Accept that lowball offer and volunteer to pay for the shipping to get these poor excuses of a sail out of your quiver today!

AJ, BB, Tri, Phree and myself accept the hardship of taking these kites off of you hands before the market for them completely collapses. It is the least we can do in support of kiters everywhere. U2U now! Don't wait!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Thanks for the tip Mel. I have Syn 12's and 15's in each color and want to sell them now. Heck they are so bad even PL wants to sell all they have. They are bringing the new Charger twinskin to NABX and I bet they will be compelled to sell them on the open market. Just glad my customers didn't get the memo on the collapsing economy. The news about the twinskins is bad enough.

They are being real coy and saying squat besides they think the graphics are real cool. But they will also have the new Vapor race kite and the new Core all-around foil next week at NABX and I'm sure there will be reports.

Piece of cake. It was just like in the videos I've been watching to know what to expect. Tridude has been helping me along with the parts I didn't feel comfortable with. I just made sure it was well inflated, hooked up the lines, hooked in and backed up 45d to the wind (short version here). When I put tension on the downwind lines, it just pulled up in the air and went to zenith waiting for further instructions. Only issue is that the pilot must remember during inflation to zip up the deflation zipper. Not doing so really hampers preinflation. :duh:

Hey, is that my kite? Mine apparently came from taper123 via nwsurfwakeskate.

I see more arcs in my future. I'm not in a hurry unless a scorcher deal comes along. I need to get more experience with what I have and some sessions on fellow SoFKA synergies, venoms and such. I feel like I'm starting all over again but its much easier this time.

Heh heh. Done that with the Neo.
