Thanks Phree. Any kudos from you is a great reward. I always try to keep my mouth shut and my ears open around you because there is lots to learn from your experience. I always feel like the young padawan when we talk. Eager to learn, in awe of your knowledge and abilities, fearful of appearing to know as little as I do. Ego doesn't see the light of day. I'll take all the advice and correction you can muster. I agree that the next 10 hours on the water will make a big difference in confidence and ability. Huntington Beach State Park might be a good Labor day option. I'll check on it this week and if there are no prohibitions, give it a ride or two with Hardrock next week. Then I'll send the compulsory report to SoFKA.

good chance BeamerBob will be coming down as well................Kitedog, foegot to mention that boarding and buggys on the beach ar Sullis is not permitted from memorial to Labor Day but you can go out on the sandbar (its huge) at low ride and do youe thing........BB rold me his PL bug floats on those ballon tires so we could swim it out and buggy, land, and water kite board......that would be a trip. This sandbar is huge at low tide and should start to surface around 130/2 Sunday afternoon..........................

I'm plotting now to get my exit visa. I'm hoping I can pull it off and get over to Charleston to get my "top of the water" certification. Tridude and kitedog could offer me alot of knowledge to get me up and running for good.

That was an awesome day. I wasn't staying up wind except in bursts but was planing comfortably and going left and right. Made one trasition, and almost made 5-6. Power management is key and I guess it will come with time. Kitedog really got it all dialed in yesterday. After a few hours he was starting to hold his line upwind and then later in the day actually walked downwind back to camp. Onward and upward from here.

Tridude your selfless attention to Kitedog and I was much appreciated. You've coaxed me along through more than one venue in kiting. Your comment yesterday about how much fun it is to kite with friends tells me why we get along so great. It is really fun to be on the beach or field with other people that have the same passion for this stuff.

Were you out at Folly, Phree? We were hoping you might show up. Bobby...you're on the cusp. A little more time out there and you'll have it dialed.

I gotta say that the conditions were near perfect yesterday. By the time we left there must have been almost 30 kites in the air (all inflatos too).

A friend that went to Ft. Walton, FL over the weekend told me it wasn't good. 5 to 10 at best. He wrote me pissing and moaning this morning. Glad I followed Tridude and the wind to Sullivan's Island.

Sullivan's Island is awesome. I highly recommend it. Thanks again Tridude. Good call on the locaton and timed just right for the perfect day.

i was at home in HHI. but sulli's always has a couple knots more when it comes in. had a handful of sessions there at 28/29, it can be a nice size crowd there . total tubeland

most of the rotations i get into are 3/4 people but there maybe 15 trying to come in on the same break or point for tricks or big airs in close . i like taking a long leg out so i can come back on top of every body to get a clear veiw of all the riders and positions . that way if freestylers are rotating in close you can stay up out of there way and set up your own lines. to watch or drop in if you feel like switching it full on.

cool guys, maybe i can catch the next one with you guys

That is his extensive landboarding experience translating to the water. I'm sure it felt natural to him. He also said he went toeside with sweeping powered up turns and then a powered sweeper to go back heelside. He might be new on the water but knows his kites and landboard.
