Angus heard this morning that both kitedog, and Kullas that live north of Atlanta, had some washing on their driveways, but no loss of life, limb, or property to speak of. My cousin, Airhunter faired well too. 12000 people in the greater Atlanta area are without power this morning.

My schedule is opening up the next weekend of the 10th. I'll post up and find out where some buds are getting in the water. Offshores or low winds just shift me to the buggy. I have 2 new kites to exercise in the buggy too.

Total U2U's in all folders needs to be less than 100 to reply to someone - delete excess ones.

Sometimes I have to keep trying because the #@!&^ delete or move to trash option don't actually work, even after it tells you it was successful!

That way, you can successfully reply to all of the waiting, wondering buyers out there.....

Todd, Do you mean THIS 19m Venom.

The one I apparently lost out to kamaikuza for?

Then was mysteriously withdrawn and then promised to you for pickup weeks ago?

Then equally mysteriously shows up last week in a Foilzone Classified, offered by one "Tridude" in the USA?

THAT 19m Venom?

Ah...whaddaheck do I know?

I'm still waiting to hear back on that 15m Syn I was promised in both public and U2U exchanges.

Those sudden U2U outages are surrrre funny things...usin komputerz can be so hard...they make my head hurtz sometimez...

Guys, I'm pretty close friends with tridude. I probably chat with him on the phone more than anyone else in kiting. I don't know about all the details of your communications with him but I'll add what I do know. Tridude took a new job back in the spring that seems to be more than full time. Just before this, he developed some issues with his computer that limited his participation here to the point where he didn't post for 2 months or more. Several times I called to check on his health and well being because I didn't hear from him for so long. I'm not sure he has that stuff resolved with his computer even today. Acampbell and mgatc have also had conversations with me about being concerned for tridude since none of us could get in touch with him at times. In addition, he has a technical problem with his U2Us here in that his box is full but he can't delete any of them while on his home or work computers so he is stuck it would seem. Without any of us knowing the whole story of all this, realize that he has been much more difficult for even his closest friends in kiting to get in touch with at times certainly by U2U, also by email and at times even by home or cell phones. This might not reduce your ire you have towards him right now for issues you have with failed transactions, but I'm sure it isn't personal or at all common during the almost 3 years I've been friends with him.

From previous postings, I recognize Tridude as a knowledgable, experienced and valuable contributor here. In fact, his insights have been instrumental in my quiver decisions and I respect him for it. He is a smart and trusted resource and I always look forward to his postings.

But at least THREE (that I know about) well-posted PKFers here have been completely baffled by his sudden drop off of all communications during a 99% already-concluded kite deal.

It's not unreasonable to expect at least some kind of follow up explanation for this, either in the forums, phone calls, emails or restored U2Us.

Better offers, local sales, second thoughts - all legit reasons to drop a deal in my book. Not very courteous, but legit. Heck, I wouldn't care if he suddenly decided he didn't like me for some reason. At least that's a reason - and I'm a reasonable guy! ;)

Hey Todd!

I don't know the details of your transaction but I do know that Tridude told me at one point that you were going to pick that kite up. It doesn't sound like that happened. He's a stand-up guy so I'm sure its just a misunderstanding.

At any rate, this business ought to find another thread or go private.

That just doesn't make any sense ... you offered the kites for sale to all, then you realized there was a problem with them so you sold them to your friends???

Looks like it was howling today. Were you there Don? My bro comes to town on Wednesday evening. I think we could be there on the 3rd and 4th. Does the wind look promising? I'm worried because it looks like its shutting off along the south eastern seaboard. Let me know what you think.

Ft. Walton was a disapointment. We should have hit South Carolina. Oh well...

I'm out of town this next weekend so it'll have to wait 'til another time.

Glad you had fun!
